Hamilton Tour Ticket Prices

So tickets go on sale fror Hamilton in Philly next week and they are $129 to $199. Most people told me it's worth it but I saw an article from Baltimore that it wasn't selling there

 

The most I've spent on a touring show was around 70 bucks for Wicked. Most I've spent on broadway was $170 on The Cher Show

I’ve seen the tour twice - once in Cleveland as a single ticket purchase (July 2018) and once in Pittsburgh (January 2019) as part of my subscription package - and paid around $170 in each case. Both were center mezzanine and in good locations.

I'm jealous.  That person had to be pretty desperate to sell that low.  I've got good, really low, prices outside of day of concerts, but didn't think you could get that low for Hamilton.

I've been tracking prices in Baltimore and it's definitely selling very well there, most shows are sold out except 4th of July week. But, there's nothing below $301 face value left. $301 is exorbitant for Baltimore, but I guess since the Hippodrome is so much smaller than other major touring houses, it makes sense.  

I have to eat my words on stating that it is doubtful one could get a tour ticket for $70. I bought a subscription for the first time for my series in my city this morning.  We are getting Hamilton for the first time 2019/2020.  I knew I wanted to see it again, after seeing it earlier this year.  They had a second orchestra package for 5 shows for $260.  Even though, Rent and Wicked (which I have seen multiple times) were part of the package, Bandstand and Anastasia are new to me.  So I jumped on it.  The price breakdown for Hamilton was $68.70, so under $70.  They aren't the primo seats, but I'm satisfied.

I “won” the chance to purchase tickets but I’m not sure I want to spend that much on a touring show. I know Hamilton is Hamilton so I won’t be getting a cheap ticket unless I buy the subscription but I don’t think I can’t pay $199 to see it in Philly when I can pay that same amount to see in NYC again. 

Thought I would bump this thread.

Tickets went on sale this morning for the Philadelphia engagement of Hamilton (Oct-Nov).  I was shocked to see tickets going for $349.  I'm not sure if they did away with premium seating, but it looks like most seats in the orchestra were at this price.  It's at The Academy of Arts this time around.  I saw it 2 years ago at The Forrest Theatre.  I much prefer the latter.  I'm not about to pay $349 for this.  I think I paid $199 2 years ago and had a great seat.

Hmmm, I went on this morning and Orchestra level were $349

I second this! I was able to get a great deal day of in Buffalo.

Just checked the price for my usual seats. $59 instead of the usual $30-$40 along with a disclaimer "Not including 10% and/or $18.00 fee. ". wtf.. There's always a fee though of course but $18 more?

 

EDIT: The whole orchestra is $349,lollll. It seems to be mostly empty for weekday matinees. Glad I won via lotto last time and will do it again...

Yep. I know but I hear it's impossible to see anything from up there.
