I'm sure SOMEONE has at one point - she couldn't have never met another human being in her life. :)
And no, I haven't.
Thanks for being a smart ***, but I was wondering what she was like in person. he he
Yes, I've met her several times before at award shows, galas and parties and she has always been very warm, kind and gracious.
I got a letter from her once - does that count? She was very warm in the letter. It was a response to a piece of fan mail I sent her after seeing her in Putting It Together.
I wish....

Sorry, I wasn't trying to be a "smart @$$." And it's not like me answering with a joke will waste space for someone who HAS met Julie Andrews. I actually would like to know how she is in person, though I'm sure she's a wonderful person. Seriously, can anyone picture Julie Andrews as a bitter woman? Just doesn't work for me.

I met her a few years ago... she's an absolute SWEETHEART.
If in Heaven you don't excel, you can always party down in hell...
i heard nothing but good things about her....i would love to meet her..."she and liza are the only broadway legends"-me-
Jam_Man, you have to admit, it would be really funny if she just went home at night, lit a pack of cigarettes (yes, all at once), and said, "these freakin theatre geeks are driving me up a wall. Wadsworth! Where's my facial kit and my evening chai?!" haha, not saying she's like that at all, but wouldn't it be funny if it was all just an act?
I met her after VICTOR/VICTORIA and at a little bookstore downtown last fall when she had a book signing. She's very sweet.
I haven't yet,
But she will be in Toronto this year directing the Boyfriend, and I plan to let her know how amazing she is.
Akiva
I was only kidding, thats why there was a "he he."
The tour for The Boyfriend starts in Delaware, and I hope to meet her.
Just saw her Cinderella DVD selling in Pathmark for $ 3.99 & have never met her
I met her in 1983. She was in the audience of a performance that I was a part of. After the performance there was a dinner in the upstairs lobby of the Dorothy Chandler Pavillion. I flipped out when I saw her. I stayed at her table chatting with she and Blake Edwards and never went to my table.
I met her again in Chicago a few years ago. She came to speak at Benedictine University. After the lecture everyone was invited to get her autograph. I asked her about film of Camelot and she said that except for Ed Sullivan there is nothing. Darn it!
A friend of mine actually said that she can't stand Julie Andrews! WTF?! I could understand not caring one way or the other; but to flat out not like the woman?! It's Julie Andrews!

Stewie Griffin: Oh, Julie Andrews, I just love your classy, family friendly work.
Julie Andrews: PISS OFF, YA' BLOODY WANKAR!!!!!!!!!
Funny? Yes. I still couldn't see it, though.
I met her years ago and don't even remember what the situation was. She's a doll.
my good friend's boyfriend used to work in east haddam, and they were there a couple weeks ago. they ran into her right outside the goodspeed and chatted with her for a bit. how crazy is that?!?!
My boyfriend does a GREAT Julie Andrews. He always goes around saying "I'm Julie Andrews, and you're not."
I used to do a perfect (singing) Julie Andrews in high school, but then as my voice matured and was trained, the texture changed and I can't do it anymore.
