My friend saw Wicked in tour with Julia murney and Kendra kassebaum, he went into a SUBWAY (food joint) and saw Kendra
THAT is what you said to an accomplished 4 time Tony winner?
No, that's what the guy on the train said. :P

"What's next? Santa Clause isn't real either?"
Who wants to tell him? I don't have the heart to do it.
I rode the bus uptown with Greg Jbara one night. Since we got on together, we sat together and talked until he got off. I can't actually remember running into anyone on the subway before but I know quite a few who are regular subway riders.
I once ended up on the London Underground with Michael Ball's father, whom I had seen (but didn't speak to) a few minutes earlier at the Palladium stage door with his son.I said nothing to Mr. Ball at that time. However, a couple of years later, in NY when Michael was in PATIENCE, I actually met his father during the interval. The discussion turned to cricket, and Mr. Ball gave a friend and me a lesson on the Ashes Cricket tournament.

Many years ago, Barnadette Peters.
Last year I rode the subway for a couple of stops sitting across from Jonathan Groff. he had Hair sheet music in hand (it was before the concert perf).
I can't honestly say that I have.
However, I have nowhere else to put this story......
Like, two years ago, Chris Rock was directly behind me in line at the 51st and Broadway McDonald's. I think he ordered a #1 combo. Seriously. He had a bodyguard with him and everything. And he was in town for a gig. Seriously. A #1 combo.
No subway but bus and Port Authority Elevators and Tennis courts.
I've seen Troy Horne (Rent) on the bus and waiting for the bus in my town a lot.
Tonya Dixon (Rent) in the elevator, she was really nice.
And then about 5 minutes ago I was playing tennis next to D'Monroe (Rent, again) in my town. And I may take lessons from him...

I saw someone in the Subway but not on it. It was the sub shop. As for the person who asked if someone would go up to the actor and talk to them. I wouldn't but if they know me than can gladly come over and talk to me if they want to. If not I wouldn't lose sleep over it.
Not a Broadway performer but I once saw Luther Vandross on the London Underground, walking along the platform at Embankment station, he looked very lost.
this is a funny thread concept - and from reading this, i have to say i must have a lot of subway karma or something
i've seen
- jonathan b wright (eating a donut)
- daphne rubin vega (during her les miz time)
- jason tam (chorus line)
- ashley parker angel (and son)
- barrett foa (i actually dont know what he is in but i recognized him)

Fine, I'll do it.
There's no E in Santa Claus.
To answer the question, not Broadway, but I went to a show way out in Queens once and ended up on the same train in the same car as one of the actors from the show. We both had a very long ride back into Manhattan, so I said I had just seen her in the show, congratulated her on a great performance, and we spent the rest of the ride chatting about theater.

There is an "E" in it.

Yero my Hero...I think Mattbrain was thinking of "Santa Clause" the movie, which is spelled just like that.
You are right, no "E" in the "real" Santa Claus
There is an E at the end of the title of the Disney film "The Santa Clause" which is a play on word, as in a clause for being Santa Claus.

I was on the A train once and Matthew Risch got on at a stop and got off at 42nd, to get to his night show at Legally Blonde I guess.

Not on the subway, but on the street I've seen Derick Baskin and Norm Lewis at least 3 times near Little Mermaid (duh, since they work there) and Hunter Bell and Susan Blackwell trying to get a cab.

I saw Charlotte d'Amboise after I saw "A Chorus Line" walking down 44th street after the show, which made sense. She was on the phone with her daughter, I think. I crossed the street so she didn't think I was following her. I assumed she would remember me being I had just gotten her autograph and spoke with her a little.
While I was on-line for 13...
Brian D'Addario & Trevor Braun came over to talk to...
Zach Rand
Matthew Gumley
Dylan Riley Snyder
and a lot of other Broadway kids who were right in front of me on line for over an hour, it was an interesting experience listening to them.

I once saw Julie Reiber skipping down the middle of 50th street after talking with a fan at the stagedoor between shows. Was the cutest thing I ever saw.

I could totally picture her doing that! Love Julie!!
I saw Will Chase on the train when I was coming home one night from seeing RENT...We kind of all talked with him it was weird because it was a double decker train and there were like 5 of us in this cabin thing and we were all talking it was so much. He seemed like such a nice guy!
I road the subway with John Gallagher, Jr. shortly after he won his Tony. I saw him pass me on the street and thought, ha that's funny, that's John Gallagher, Jr. Grabbed some coffee and headed to the subway and he happened to be waiting for the same train. He was working on his Rubik's Cube. Coincidentally, I had a Rubik's Cube on me too. Spoke with him the whole train ride until he had to get off at 50th for his show. He was a really nice guy, very chill and easy going.

I walked Tim Howar between on the crowded between-shows subway ride last year.
Saw Jason Kravitz on the subway the day after seeing him in Drowsey. Didn't want to approach him, just let him be.
