What are you talking about? She will have played Shug for 6 months when her run is over, and to understand that she needs a break from doing a show 8 times a week shows a lot of self-awareness as a performer. Broadway producers will be continue to pursue her after the reviews she got and the performance she delivered, not to mention the fact her attendance record has been flawless. No need to make drama where there is none.
I am bummed out she did not extend at least another month for selfish reasons since I was planning on going back to NYC in June for my birthday to treat myself to see the three principals a second time. Headley has her work cut out for her, but she's a stellar performer. There was just something so special and touching about the chemistry Erivo and Hudson developed.
