Hmmm.....I guess I would participate...and the people that annoy me here probably wouldn't show up anyway.....so, I'm game.

Daisy, doll, you bring the strippers, I'll bring the booze, and we'll have a grand old time. re: re: re: re: re: re: re: How About A Get Together ?

I think we should do it at Marie's Crisis or Rose's Turn in the Village. Daisy?

Perhaps as more of a smaller-group-after-the-event sort of thing? I mean, really, what Broadway-oriented gathering would be complete without a trip to Marie's? re: re: re: re: re: re: re: re: re: How About A Get Together ?

*looks around for the gun being pressed to your head* I'm pretty sure you don't have to come, then...

I bet you do re: re: re: re: re: re: re: re: re: re: re: re: re: re: How About A Get Together ? I'd concur, but I need to let the memory of my last trip fade first. (I had a scandalous moment.) *grin*

re: How About A Get Together ?

Let's get past the agendas and fears. Nothing wrong in meeting for a drink. Who knows? The evening could end with the confirmation that the poster you dislike you posititvely abhor. Conversely, the poster you really makes you grate you teeth could be a terrific person. Life's about taking chances and exposing onself to them.

If voiceanth...or anyone else...is going to by buying rounds I am so there.

re: re: How About A Get Together ?

MARIE'S!

ONLY... and I mean ONLY... if...

A. Jim is playing.

B. Jim plays SIDE SHOW.

C. I sing "Adelaide's Lament" and have a brain fart and forget all the words (wait... that happens just about every Monday night...)

D. I sing anything BUT "Adelaide's Lament."

Love ya, Booger, but I fear Voiceanth is right. Place is too small for this heard of cows. We need to rent out like... Bryant Park... so the kiddies can run around and play tag on the grass, the "grown ups" can do... whatever it is that "grown ups" do... and I can amuse myself on the stage.

I don't know the name of the place, but my mom told me about a place in the village where there is basically a piano and people get up and sing...and before you wince, my mom said that it seemed that everyone seemed to be pretty talented people who are trying to break into broadway. the place is some hole in the wall, i'll have to get the name, but does it sound familar to anyone?

Jim's old news, Dexter is king!! (The bar you speak of is the one we're talking about, Marie's Crisis)
If Lincoln were alive today, do you think he'd be pleased with his tunnel?

re: re: re: re: How About A Get Together ?

The would be Marie's Crisis, Bronte. :) It's the happening bar!

My one question: Why have I YET to find a pianist there that will play "Life With Harold" for me???

Dexter only plays old tunes! Everytime I walk in while he's playing it's always Rodgers and Hammerstein (HI, really??? Rodgers and Hart all the way, people!!!). TOTALLY shot down my Side Show request... NOT cool.

We could all meet up for a drink at Angus, take a walking tour of the theaters and dish, and then take over Howard Johnson's for bad food and good chat!

re: Ho Jo's

Dexter is an obnoxious pig from hell. It's all about Jim and Rachel. (I'll bake cookies for whoever gets the movie reference in the first sentence :P)
