This hasn't happened before to Local One, so I guess this might last forever.

I hope I'm wrong, but I feel it might last longer than the few days most are saying.

Josh Freilich - You really are ignorant. If you have nothing intelligent to add....don't post.
No talks are currently scheduled. That doesn't help.
I also think this could go on a bit longer than a few days
Why is all entertainment on strike in America lol TV and Film writers etc and now stagehands.
CAN WE JUST NOT ALL LOVE EACH OTHER lol
Is "Lion King" gonna have a show for the 10th Anniv. today?

But it's true. It might last for a long, long time. Even months. It might even last through Christmas.
I think it will never end. Bway as we know it will go the way of the dodo.
The stagehands, feeling betrayed by their union for not saving their jobs will unite with the writers in L.A. and create a 3rd political party which will sweep into power.
As revenge on the producers and studios all entertainment will be banned.
The end is nigh dear freinds.

I'm starting to think tazber is the ignorant one now.
These things end. It just takes a little, or a lot, of time.
The governor may have a stake in working with the union to save everyone if the mayor has be shut out already. Now I'm a lot more hopeful about things.

Jacob...a strike is a strike. NOBODY works...regardless of anniversaries. Translation...No Lion King today.

Friday night, I observed the piano book at a show. Backstage, I kept hearing from various people the phrase "4 weeks." Who knows if it'll be that long? It's conceivable.
I have 12/16 tickets for Spring Awakening and I've pretty much given up hope. What can you do.

I will be surprised if a strike like this goes on for 4 weeks. In my mind it seems totally ridiculous, since the holidays are so busy. I'm sticking with my original (and hopeful) guess...the strike will end this week.

Broadway can't shut down this long....it just can't. I will be shocked if it goes on for over a month.

There will be so much money irretrievably lost if this strikes stretches on past Thanskgiving -- I cannot imagine it won't force the producers back to the table very, very soon.

Perhaps it's dangerous to take anyone at their word, esp. during a strike, but if it's true that over $10 million per day is being lost, how can anyone assume this strike will continue more than a few days? Broadway producers of running shows would risk going bankrupt.

i am really hoping they might be able to clear this up this week quickly like the last strike. I would hate to see Broadway and NYC suffer economically because of this, and not to mention I have front-row seats to Wicked on 11/17.
