Having been an English teacher, I used to be unforgiving about people's misspelling and so forth. Then I became the parent of a child with profound learning disabilities, which was very humbling.
How do we know what issues a poster might have? Before criticizing someone for their grammar, spelling, punctuation use and so on, consider that for some people, it is not a choice. I have actually met BWW members with learning disabilities who stopped posting because they were made fun of.
No one is perfect. In the big picture, I am much more concerned with the attitude, tone and motivation of the poster--as well as the content of their posts--rather than pointing out their "deficiencies." I hope others can be forgiving of me and my weaknesses.
