Really the play is at 7pm
It really depends on how long it takes for the actor to get out of character. Most of the time, the leads are usually the last ones out such as my experiences with Grease (Max Crumm & Laura Osnes), Catch Me If You Can (Norbert Leo Butz), Pippin (Patina Miller), Nice Work If You Can Get It (Jessie Mueller), Beautiful: The Carole King Musical (Jessie Mueller again), and Les Miserables (Will Swenson).
Though sometimes, the leads are the first to come out such as the experiences I've had with The Little Mermaid (Sierra Boggess), Annie (Lilla Crawford), Pippin (Matthew James Thomas), and Aladdin (Courtney Reed).

If the show starts at 9pm, then I'd say 3:14am.

So, you have to wait longer for method actors?

Can you explain to me what is a method actors?
lol Jordan - and this entire thread, which may or may not be satire?
for a real answer:
broadway_lady, they leave the theater when they're ready to leave. they have to get out of costume/makeup, pack up personal things, greet personal guests, maybe just sit around and talk. there's no guarantee anyone will come out and sign autographs or do so in a timely fashion. stage door experiences are a privilege not included in the ticket price, and you cannot demand it and shouldn't be offended or critical if they take awhile to exit. some may take more than an hour.
Hater, you just made me choke on my coffee!
Honestly, it depends on the actor. When I'm in a show, I'm often the last person to leave simply because I take my time getting out of costume, washing up, and getting dressed. Other actors zip right out like they're Barry Allen.

Oh ok so it can be a few minutes or hour wait am i correct?
Correct. Also consider what they're wearing and how much wig and makeup they may need to get out of.
