Once in Chicago. It was my first live musical, but now, I'm not sure if I was really in love with the show or the idea of live musicals. Now, I sometimes get bored listening to the cast recording, but that's probably because I've listened to it to death. Oh, and when I saw it, it was with Dee and Erin, the two currently as the leads on Broadway.
Twice as of yesterday -- my friend won the lotto, much better seats than my first time! (Though my first time was the first week of Broadway previews, so that was exciting)
I've seen it once, on Broadway. (Ana Gasteyer, and Katie Adams as understudy Glinda. Total B- team there.) I'd wanted to see Julia Murney but I waited too long to get the tickets and all the dates I could see had sold out. Then we lost lotto.
I bought tickets this morning to see it in Dayton next year. I'm actually pretty excited. It's been long enough, the seats are good, and I know my mom will love it.
None... well, erm, actually, I saw it on youtube several years ago. I was a big fan of the cast recording, even though I didn't like most of the cast (though I've since learned to REALLY love Kristin Chenoweth and even warmed to Norbert Leo Butz.) But I had a totally different idea in my head about what the plot would be like in the real show... and I didn't like it very much. It seemed creepy, dark, and uncomfortable in an unexpected way (the whole animal subplot really bothered me, and I'm still not sure why), and after I saw it, it took a lot of enjoyment out of the cast album.
Something about it seemed cold and eerie, and I felt like none of the characters or their motivations seemed real or natural. I didn't like the staging or costuming, either, though I still think the score is a lot better than most people say it is-- and I love the orchestrations. The cast I saw on my youtube excursion had Shoshana Bean (who I didn't like much) and Megan Hilty (who I liked, but not crazy about at all) and I don't remember anyone else from it.

First time was on Broadway. January 9th ring bells? Good job I'm a lover of understudies. The other four times were in the West End, and I took a different friend each time. Wicked is my "spending time with people" show, apparently. XD
10 times I think... I saw some really good ones to (Caissie's last, last show) and I must say I still enjoy it. We brought someone new each time. So it was fun to see there experience. Although I realize it isn't the pinicle of theatre, it is fun and I would see it again.

I've seen it three times so far ( Carmen/Katie, Kerry/Kendra, and Nicole/Alli). Plus, I'll be seeing it once (maybe twice because a group on campus has tickets for only $15) when it comes to Cleveland in month or so. I agree that it's not the best, but I love going with people who haven't seen it before because their reaction is almost always super positive. And say what you will, but the score, while not the best, has some big numbers that never fail to give me chills.
Wicked Tour (2/26/08); Wicked Bway (7/1/08); HAIR (7/1/09); Rock of Ages (7/2/09); Wicked Bway (7/3/09); Mary Poppins Tour (8/2/09); Wicked Tour (11/18/09); Wicked Tour (12/5/09)
Seen it three miserable times. Hated it the first, gave it a second shot, and hated it again. Went a third time because a friend needed someone to go with, and the only reason it was slightly passable was because of Kendra's outrageous (both good, and bad ways) performance.
I have seen it more than 50 times but less than 60. Most of those shows were cast members last or first shows. Saw the closing in Chicago also and have seen it on tour. Haven't seen it for awhile though. Baseball is top priority now over theatre!
Don't believe everything that you hear! Only the peeps involved know the truth!
Once with the Chicago company (the two leads that are on Broadway now). I'm not a huge fan, but I might be interested to see it again if the Elphaba was better than Dee was.
I'd pay to see Eden Espinosa or Saycon Sengbloh play Elphaba...
Incidentally... just watched it last night with Julia Murney's rough and tough Elphaba and Kendra Kassebaum's Amy Poehler-ish Glinda at a friend's house. They LOVED it.
These days, I wonder just how I would react seeing the show now.
Butters, go buy World of Warcraft, install it on your computer, and join the online sensation before we all murder you.

ATTENTION FANS: I will be played by James Barbour in the upcoming musical, "BroadwayWorld: The Musical."

3 times. June 2006 with Victoria Matlock & Kendra Kassebaum, December 2006 Dee Roscioli & Erin Mackey, and then December 2008 with Donna Vivino and Katie Rose Clarke. I really have a special place in my heart. It really brought me into the musical theater world. While I don't think I can see it as often as some people, I do find it nice to revisit the tour or hopefully see it on Broadway in a few years.
ZERO..who would want to see this piece of nothing? doesn't have a score. Stephen Schwartz can't even win a tony with this one.
Ya... Stephen Schwartz has only won almost every other major award including 3 Oscars, 4 Grammys, 4 Drama Desk Awards and 1 Golden Globe. Clearly, he has no talent.
For the record, I've seen Wicked 3 times on Broadway, 2 times on tour and 2 times in the West End.
