With Gary closing, I swapped-in Oklahoma for our upcoming visit.
We have floor seats, which I believe means we'll be served chili and cornbread. We'll be eating beforehand at Toloache and I assume that the portions at the show are small and shouldn't be a factor when ordering, right?
...and any recommendations for Toloache 50?
Grasshopper tacos. I'm serious!

I'm game. (However, my husband is from Salt Lake City, where they historically had issues with grasshoppers)
It's basically a large sample-sized portion, and everyone gets it, not just the floor seats.
It's a small bowl with one ladle-full of chili and a small square of cornbread on top- be sure to get up and get in line quickly if you want it, though. The day I went, people who didn't get down fast enough didn't get any before the end of intermission.

Silly question about the chili: I’m seeing the show again tomorrow. I didn’t grab chili last time because I wasn’t sure if there was meat in it or if it’s vegetarian — anyone know?

Yes, everybody gets chili and cornbread, not just floor seats. The benefit of the floor is that you can get in the chili line fast and go to the bathroom! They cut off the chili a few minutes before intermission ends, so some folks who chose bathroom first couldn't get chili.

When I went at St. Ann's, I was actually told that the chili was VEGAN, not just vegetarian. And it was pretty good for being vegan!
I skipped the chili because I really didn't want to take a risk. I mean what if it gave me gas or heartburn? Chili is one of those things that people respond to in very different ways. Im sure many people are lighting up the theatre in the second act. Gross.

I was there Sat night (6/8) and two people in line before me who asked if it was vegetarian were told it was vegan. Not bad...

The chili is good, cornbread is better. My wife and daughter didn't finish theirs, so I ended up getting a decent lunch (I saw a Sunday matinee). Plus, it's served on the stage, which offers everyone a chance to make their Broadway debut - of a sort.
But if you just have one, you won't need to adjust your dining plans.

I was there for Sunday brunch before OK and had a burrito huevon, which, if you know Spanish, sounds kind of dirty, and it was delicious and so filing I skipped the chili.
When I saw the show last month, I waited until the line got smaller before I joined in, but by the time I got to the table, it was pulled. So, get in line early so you can get it. It looked and smelled very good.

I second the grasshopper taco suggestion! But be warned that it is very much a plate with two tortillas covered in grasshoppers. I was expecting a hard taco that might disguise what I was eating, and my friend and I cracked up when the tacos were brought to us.
I had one of the specials, that I'm now blanking on, and it was delicious.

Now maybe if Kiss Me Kate had served some scrumptious vegan Gooseberry Foyle it could have won Best Revival.

Beans, beans, they're good for your heart.
The more you eat, ...
Agree with all posts above - get in line quick for the chili if you want some! Yes, it's vegan. Yes, it is really, truly delicious! I'm a bit of a chili connoisseur, and this stuff has bang and zing! Great chunk of cornbread, too!
The bite of chili and cornbread really fits the country dance hall vibe of the production, and adds to the unique occasion.
If there were ever a reason for me to skip a show, it would be "chile served to the audience".
