How to save Broadway

Sine all the shows are closing except Disney shows like Wicked and shows like Chicago, what they need to do is a revival of Merrily We Roll Along and cast all the tween stars: Zac as Frank, Hannah Montana as Mary, That Wizards girl as Gussie. That way all the kids would want to come see it, and yet it's Sondheim so all the theater fans would want to see it too. When that cast wants to leave you could easily do theme casts like they do with Chicago: All Wicked alums (Taye, Idina, Kristen, Norbert) then all SA alums- you get it. And they would all do it for scale cause everyone wants to be in Sondheim shows. Plus there are no sets or costumes so it would be cheap. It would run forever.

Your welcome.

re: How to save Broadway

How about no, as for the disney stars, none of them could ever pull off a broadway show. No one would take them seriously.

re: How to save Broadway

Why do everybody on here have to be such haters? This obviously would work. If you loved Broadway you'd see that. They could take all the money they made from this hit and spend it on shows that don't make money like (TOSS) and Rent wouldn't have to close.

Sheesh.

re: How to save Broadway

This obviously won't work. You are not very smart. First of all Wicked isn't a Disney show. Second no one would ever see Hannah Montana on Broadway, I would kill myself. And who is Zac?

"If you loved Broadway you'd see that."

Are you flipping kidding me? I would never ever see that, that would be hell for $120!

You're an idiot.

I like it.

Do it.

re: How to save Broadway

If it ever did close for some reason like mean theater owners or something, they could make a bunch of videos like (TOSS) and keep the public interested until they could reopen on Broadway.

re: How to save Broadway

Why can't they do 42nd Street with all of the American Idol and So You Think You Can Dance winners? Or maybe Bring in Da Noise, Bring in Da Funk with The Jonas Brothers.

re: How to save Broadway

Personally, I'd rather see Zac Efron and Miley Cyrus (She's not just Hannah Montanna anymore, guys, GOD) take on Giorgio and Fosca in a revival of PASSION. Emily Rossum could totes do Clara. What do you guys think?

re: How to save Broadway

My eyes are burning. I suddenly feel queasy and a bit dizzy. Can I get a chair and a glass of water, please?

OK, theaterkid, I think you're high.

JoeKV...um...OH! I'll just make a list!
1) Wicked isn't Disney! How dare you say that!
2) NO! I will shoot myself and you if Hannah Montana becomes Disney's sparkling new musical.
3) Were you referring to Taye Diggs as a Wicked alum? Wasn't he an understudy?
4) You spelled Kristin wrong.
5) No sets or costumes. Really? It would run forever, you say? Huh. *vomits into glittery Miley Cyrus paper bag (Now available in 300 rock & rolling new colors!)*
kchenofan's computer is broken right now. This is her fridge. Now, you can leave a message, but say it slowly, so I can write it on a post-it note and stick it to myself.

Since when is Wicked not a Disney show? Are you going to try to convince me that Equus isn't a Disney show next?

re: How to save Broadway

Do you think the Disney kids could pull off another revival of Sweeney? I think Zac and Miley would be great as Sweeney and Mrs. Lovett and with the movie out last year maybe a lot of people would be interested in seeing it!!!
