I was out and missed it.. forgot to DVR it...
It was literally the most moving thing I have ever seen. I laughed, I smiled, I cried, and I REMEMBERED! The highlight of the episode has to be when Lea Michele screamed that one song at me. It was beautiful.

Too much sobbing.
And for some reason Santana took up half the show. I was surprised that her part was bigger than Kurt's.
And everybody wanting Finn's jacket was the stupidest writing I've seen in awhile.

oh... did they say how he died?

"oh... did they say how he died?"
No. Kurt says something in the opening like "It really doesn't matter."

so you never find out...?. hmmmm thats probably wise

Writing a plot of how he died would have taken away from the time the cast spent sobbing and fighting over Finn's jacket.
It was very beautiful. And I cried a lot. I esepecially lost it at Mark Sailing and Lea got me too
A major character dies and they can't even say how. Wow. But then again, that would actually be giving the viewers important information. Who needs that when they can have everyone sobbing for an hour.?
I think it was tastefully done. It wasn't completely over the top.
Did my initial guess of a sad reprise of "Don't Stop Believing" come to pass?
Well Jordan should be happy to know that Lea Michele became a mermaid in honor of Finn. She is now spreading her fins and finding her way in the deep blue sea. Where she belongs.

So we're told in this episode that three weeks have gone by. Isn't Rachel supposed to be in tech for Funny Girl? After all, they were putting up the marquee last week. Does she think she can just fly back to "why oh why oh did I leave Ohio" and leave a star vehicle show floundering? I bet they pull a Sutton Foster and recast with her understudy Karen Cartwright.

I did enjoy Kurt's slow version of Rose's Turn. I didn't think he could pull it off, but at that the last minute it all came together.

I about lost it when they sang "Any Way You Can Grieve, I Can Grieve Louder!"

This isn't SMASH. Being "In Tech" Week is not that important.
also- i felt the episode was their best since season 1.
Some solid, soulful acting from all across the board. Finn's mom scene- killed me.
and having the jacket was metaphoric for all the characters. it was more than just fighting.

I enjoyed the Irene Cara/Lonette McKee duet of "I'm Still Hurting." But I think it was just a cheap stunt to advertise the movie version of The Last Five Years.
They should have done "Lea's Choice" where The Nazis (or Cheerios) make her choose between Kurt & Finn.

Finn's mom and Dot-Marie Jones were the only solid acting in this howler. Even the usually good Mike O'Malley was off. The crying was hysterically funny. It was so forced and in some cases sounded more like laughing than sobbing. I'm looking at you Matt Morrison.
And they should have brought back Max Adler for a scene.
The only good thing about the episode was Romy Rosemont.

In the next episode, Rachel finds out she's pregnant. The producers agree to put Funny Girl on hold until after she's had the baby. In the season finale, the Glee cast will drop the coat and start pulling at that baby because it belonged to Finn. Brody will show up and demand a DNA test.
Why didn't they bring Quinn back? They were dating and Quinn even had lied and said Puck's baby was his.

quinn was shooting a film. schedule demands, and there's rumors that tensions are high- off set

Quinn tried to come back but Kitty locked her in a closet.
And why didn't Brittany come back?
And why did they write such a big part for Santana? She had the love affair with Brittany but she was acting like Finn was her one true love.
And why didn't they have a scene where they all walk past Finn's casket and throw a slushie in his face?
