One of my major concerns is that people aren't taking seriously the threat posed to gay/bi men by liberals. While we complain about religious conservatives using legal means to repress gays, we tend to forget that liberals are out there working to keep gay/bi men as "uncool" as possible. The cultural demagoguery used by liberals to demonize gay/bi men is almost on a par with the demagoguery associated wtih conservatives.

-if that is your concern, then start some OT thread about it and write a letter to your congressman. Stop trying to get people upset about a movie that no one has seen yet. No one here is going to DENY homophobia in the movie if indeed there is homophobia screaming from the screen, but you know what? NO ONE KNOWS IF ANY HOMOPHOBIA HAS TOUCHED THE DARN THING!!!!! AAAAAGGGGGHHHHH!!! Do you have any quotes of Chris Columbus or the producers of the movie implying that they're homophobic? ANYTHING to back up your statements besides complete conjecture?

Then seriously art2, just smoke a joint and roll with it. You're just going to give yourself an unneeded ulcer.
