This entire NYC Evacuation Plan is driving me nuts. The maps are not clear and I am unsure if my building is in Zone B or C. Has Zone A already evacuated?
You can go on to the NYC.gov website and enter your exact address to find out what zone you are in. From the amount of pets and suitcases on the subway, it looks like people are moving quickly from Zone A.
I'm not in NYC, being on the west coast at the moment, but please take care of yourselves guys. Make sure you have water. They have tracked waves at 30' high, and those, plus the winds, are going to be the most dangerous. It's most likely that the power will go.
I don't even know anyone in NY, but I'm worried about you!
^ Nice heartly words from Sean.
I am glad I am not in New York this weekend, as I come from London, I am a tourist and would be devastated if NY this weekend, that is when I can catch most of my theatre.

"It's interesting to note that Disney, one of the greediest companies, cancelled their shows. But then, after all, being based in Orlando, they can appreciate the dangers that a hurricane can bring. I don't think the other producers have any idea."
Disney isn't based in Orlando. The Walt Disney Company is based in Burbank. Disney Theatricals, a subsidiary, is based in New York. Parks and Resorts, another subsidiary, is also based in California. The decision was made by New York-based Disney Theatricals.

On a positive note, it will be interesting to see the grosses tomorrow afternoon, we can see how much money is made on the weekend and how much the theater fills during the week.
and some shows only got 4 performances in(those with 2 shows on Sundays). I wonder if Monday's performances will go on considering how bad mass transit got messed up.
I am hoping they will resume on Monday. Though not all shows have Monday performances. They'll be cars and hopefully mass transit will start back up at some point tomorrow.
I believe the target time for the subway to be fully operational is 3 pm. Heard it somewhere. So in time for evening performance.
3PM... tomorrow, I am assuming?
yep, powering down takes 8 hours.....I would assume powering up is at least twice as long and they are nowhere near finishing their assessments and doing repairs and clean up.
The Broadway League tweeted that Monday performances will go on as scheduled unless government officials ask them not to...
All I can say is if the stock market is open, Broadway better be.
