Posted: 8/3/11 at 7:48pmThen it's a good thing I didn't start a thread about the quote I saw on Broadway.com where she said she wanted to play Evita and Mrs. Lovett (with Chris Colfer as Sweeney Todd, no less).

Posted: 8/3/11 at 8:10pmI used them to show my hatred for them. They shall not come out of my fingertips again.

Posted: 8/3/11 at 8:11pmChris Colfer and Sweeney Todd should never be in the same sentence.

Posted: 8/3/11 at 8:12pmAw, why don't people like Lea Michele or Chris Colfer?
#8I Am Sick Of The Words 'Lea' & 'Michele'
Posted: 8/3/11 at 8:16pmbut if you hate them so much then why even bring them up at all, all you're going to do is create a stupid argument.

Ugh, she's in a commercial for HP's version of the iPad. In it, she sings "Let Me Entertain You" while the HP does its thing.
Well, I work in finance, so CNBC is on at work. This commercial has been on 4 times per day for at least 2 weeks. And, since I am a Sondheimite, faintly hearing a Styne/Sondheim (edited, I'm an idiot) song catches my ear no matter how hard I try to block it out. I've now heard this ad 40 times in the last 2 weeks, and with each listening my frustration with her overexposure grows.
And to think of the crush I had on her in the Spring Awakening days...

it is not that funny.

Posted: 8/3/11 at 8:47pmCan we talk about Michelle Lee?
#13I Am Sick Of The Words 'Lea' & 'Michele'
Posted: 8/3/11 at 8:51pmIf we start talking Michele Lee, it will just devolve into a discussion about how Lea Michele is THE ONLY PERSON who can play Gittel in a revival of Seesaw.
#14I Am Sick Of The Words 'Lea' & 'Michele'
Posted: 8/3/11 at 8:52pmI don't know why anyone would want to talk about Lea Michele. i hate Lea as well but i don't care about her enough to make a pointless board, when there are already hundreds of posts saying the same thing.
#15I Am Sick Of The Words 'Lea' & 'Michele'
Posted: 8/3/11 at 8:56pmI love how everyone hates her. It's just so hilarious that none of you have probably ever met her. I've never either and would never make any accusations about ANY actor I've never met. She is a very talented lady that is a hell of a lot more successful than all of you combined.

How do you know that, suttonfoster? How many of the posters you just said that to have YOU met?

theatrefreak, I don't hate her. I don't think most people do. But some of the posts asserting that she was the only reason to do the revival, and that "Lea = Streisand" are a little hard to take.

Because you have to be jealous of someone you dislike, you can't just dislike them because you dislike them.
In that case I'm very jealous of Chris Christie and his hot bod.

I've met her in social situations before. Contrary to what others have said, I found her very pleasant. I've seen her perform. I think she has talent. I'll freely admit that I watch GLEE.
I don't hate her. I hate the mythos that her diehard fans have constructed around her. I find it hilarious and kind of terrifying.
That said, at this stage in her career, I wouldn't want to see her as Fanny Brice at all. To paraphrase McNally's Maria Callas: She should work on something more appropriate to her limitations.

I dunno, suttonfoster. I'm pretty successful. I'm guessing there's a bunch of successful people here. That said, I do think it's pretty pointless and counterproductive to start a thread about Lea Michele only to say we shouldn't mention Lea Michele.

How about "tronic"?
I think it's time Jordan had his own adjective.

Oh, I've a few adjectives for Jordan, but that's another thread. "Tronic" sounds like something you'd smoke, or maybe a fan of the cult classic Tron, a la ""Fanadus".
Maybe he's an "anti-Lea-ite".
Hmm, doesn't scan very well, does it?
