I don't watch Glee, so I've seen very little of her.
When she was a child, I saw her live in "Ragtime." She had three lines and clung to Tateh like a barnacle. So she didn't bother me then. Although she may have bothered Tateh. I didn't see her in Spring Awakening.
I did see her glide down the aisles of the Tony Awards singing, "Don't Rain On My Parade" with a rather whiny, little-girl voice. She was essentially a Muppet Babies version of Barbra Streisand.
And that's pretty much it, other than the 300 million times she's referred to, revered, and reviled here on BWW, every single day.
I don't think she'd make a good Fanny Brice, unless, as mentioned, Broadway needs a Muppet Babies version of Funny Girl. I don't think they do.
I know I don't.
I hope she has a long, varied, and successful career ... out of my periphery.
