oh, no, i completely understand that... and yes, i do appreciate your opinion about it and i'm not gonna hold it against you or anything. but it just seems like those who dont like wicked are so quick to attack people who really do like it... and you dont see that happening much from other shows... except maybe dance of the vampires

true... and that bites... there's a lot of shows i haven't seen, but i wouldn't put them or anyone who loves that show down. but to get back on topic, i can't wait to find out more about brooklyn... while i haven't seen eden, from what i've heard from her singing, she's very talented and deserves this. i for one am hoping the show can be a hit!

My only problem w/ some of the over zealous pre-teens/teens is that once they see a show and like it, it is - in their minds - the best show and nothing compares to it. I am not excluding this to just the WICKED fans and "Menzelites". I have an issue with those who havent seen any show and aren't willing to believe there is anything better out there to see. Also unintelligent ramblings such as "omg its the best musical in the word i love idina and kristin and they are the best actresses ever!" If you like the show and the actors all I suggest is to back up why with examples.

Good for you, LongIsland Grl! I like respectable, thoughtful Wickedites like you, zepka102, and many others. When it comes to most Wicked fans, I have no animosity towards them. It is only the ignorant, over-zealous obsessive fanatics who get on my nerves. And I think it's great that you liked Idina before she became "Popular", and that you like her more for her talent, and not just the show she's currently in.

Saw Eden Espinoza perform yesterday at Bryant Park. She sang "Once Upon A Time". She has a tremendous voice. The 4 songs though were so-so. They sounded like gospel music. "Raven" and "Street Singer" didn't do it for me.

Lets eee I'm male and 50 and loved Wicked. I love BKLYN and EDEN saw it in Denver.
Ya I agree a Teenboper fanbase is awful, I much perfer a blue hair crowd. And the occasional senior who falls asleep and snoars, is my fav.

Well, it may be Wicked-like as far as the music goes, but the set will be the opposite of Wicked. It will be one simple set instead of a HUGE monstrosity.

not all teenage girls are just out to jump on a bandwagon. That is a bad stereotype in the sense that ive loved EVERYTHING broadway since i was born and now if i like a show am i going to be included in a "teenage girl" statistic?...thats not right. a few are of a different crowd. i do like wicked. but its not my only or first broadway love. i will admit there are a lot of girls, younger than I, who just obsess over certain plays because its the thing to do but surely i am not one of those people and neither are some of my friends. i cant help my age. you have to be 16 before you can be 25.

Having seen Brooklyn 3 times already, I feel the show will definetly have a young fan base but will appeal to adults also. Just about every song in this show is good. My only worry is the audience participation that occurs in the second half. It just didn't seem to work and it seemed to break down the 4th wall. This would be fine but, well you have to see it, you feel as if you are looking in on a dream or fantasy and when this audience participation happens, it just seems to break the mood. It's hard to explain, but everyone I saw it with agreed that it is the weakest part of the show. Also the "showdown" in the second act was a bit strange and needs to be tightened up. It will be interesting to see what the critics will have to say about it. But I enjoyed the show. Eden Espinoza was terrific but I bet people will also be talking about Karen Olivo and Ramona Keller a lot after the show opens. Both are wonderful.
