I didn't know avenue q was a parody of sesame street till after i saw the show cause i didn't put 2 and 2 together
afterwards i was like oh yeah it makes sense now
I really hope you're not going to be paying my social security one day.
Avenue Q is not a parody of Sesame Street, and they make it clear they are not associated with the Children's Television Workshop or the Muppets in general.
Well, it may not be a direct parody, the similarities are obvious.

well its been awhile since i've seen sesame street but i still feel pretty dumb
AVENUE Q is indeed a parody of SESAME STREET and yes...they do not have any affiliation with The Children's Television Network or Jim Henson's Muppets.
They are simply making fun of the whole SESAME STREET bit and parodying it in every way. IN EVERY WAY. The set design, the look of the puppets to the songs.
IT IS A PARODY!
And it beat "Wicked," which is a fable.

Actually Wicked is not a fable...
It's a parody!
It's definitely more complicated than "it's a parody", but the elements are there.
no, I mean Wicked is a parody!

Gee - the fact that Nicky and Rod sound EXACTLY like Ernie and Bert, and Trekkie Monster sounds EXACTLY like Cookie Monster didn't clue you in?
Or maybe the fact that the original four puppeteer/actors all worked on Sesame Street?

Plus, the person who made the puppets made puppets for Sesame Street. And, I think the creators have even called it an "adult Sesame Street"

Fiyero it's okay, having a name here dedicated to a Wicked character automatically makes you dumb in real life.
I should know.
i thought this thread was gonnna be about someone that just got back from Young Frankenstein and paid $450...
Well it WANTS to be a fable. :-P
By "fable" I meant "parable"...I was talking to you on AIM at the time husk, and distracted by how cute you are. <3
