The V train doesn't run on weekends and late nights, so its usefulness is limited outside of commuting.

My friends and I were discussing The Wedding Singer and humming "Right in Front of Your Eyes" while on the 6 train when, suddenly, Amy Spanger walks onto the train. Also, the train was plastered in ads for her husband's new show "Dexter" on Showtime.

I saw Bette Midler at Tower Records (the one near Lincoln Center) a few days ago. That was exciting. Didn't approach her because it was clear she didn't want to be recognized (no makeup, wearing sweats).
