What is the health-related wheezing rumor?

she may be finished now...how sad..
as for wicked haters having a field day with this...WTF?
This has nothing to do with Wicked or idina's performance - it has to do with her and her health - only a sadistic idiot would be happy...
I hope she recovers soon - for her sake

Well, no matter who she is and how you feel about her...let's all keep her in our thoughts.

aaww poor idina! she went into the stretchers all green and in the act 2 dress
Here's the deal:
Shoshana Bean will go on tonight (as of now - will probably remain that way) and Idina will go on tomorrow. They don't think her ribs are broken, just bruised.

Poor Idina. I hope she's alright. And I wouldn't immediately jump all over the techies. Sometimes things just don't happen like they'e supposed to, especially with effects that are programmed into computers and all that technical jargon. Fingers Crossed and lots of prayers she's better in time for tomorrow.:)

That information came from someone who was seeing Wicked and called from the Gershwin during the 30 minute break and then again after the show was over. I'm sure that at the time, people didn't really know what had happened. I guess when someone gets hurt or falls during a show people speculate... She was pretty sure she fainted and fell, though. I'm sure Wicked or Idina will release some kind of statement before tomorrow.
Captn - where's your info coming from?
BS, I've asked the same question too many times! What is she on?

she wouldnt have left in the act 2 dress, caue shoshana would have to put it on, sometimes think before you write
HAHA, wicked4life, because Shoshana and Idina are sharing their costumes, you muppet! *snorts*

My God. Of all the days for this to happen, it had to be the day before her final performance. Poor girl.
Can you imagine the anarchy and chaos at the Gershwin tomorrow if, God forbid, she doesn't perform? I'd imagine those who paid $300 a ticket will be mighty pissed. But, it of course wouldn't really be her fault. Because whatever happened, was unexpected.
omgod....this is awful...that completely sucks...i bet she wont be able to perform tomorrow. Think about the like $1,000's of dollars some people spent getting tickets.....wow..im speechless.
actually wicked4life, standby's typically have their own costumes which are exact replicas of the principals but in their size Updated On: 1/8/05 at 06:01 PM
Poor girl, I hope she's alright.
wicked4life, honey, PLEASE stop posting mis-information.

wicked4life - they have different dresses because not everyone is the same size...if she broke her ribs, they aren't going to be taking the dress off right away...
did she fall through the trap door when she "melts" or was it offstage?

Yes, the standys and understudies do not share costumes with the actual performer. Obviously for size reasons.

she DID leave in the act 2 dress-and they mite have more than one-when i went jan 5- 3 days ago i waited after the matinee show (i went at and they we saw them bringing in more costumes-the act 2 dress was one of them--idina couldnt have been out of the costume already since the show just ended
okay, so no one has actually fully explained what happened unless i'm just totally stupid and missed it. and if so, i'm sorry. but did she just faint and fall? fall through the trap door? trip on it? faint and trip? i don't see how the trap door plays into this if she just fainted...
I just received a few PMs from people trying to 'educate' me about the fact that performers do not share their costumes. I KNOW THAT. My comment to wicked4life was an attempt of sarcasm. Thank you

they have 3 dresses. maybe even 4. Standbys always have to be in costume, when the lead changes, they change. They are like mirrors. i think anywho.

Because the gril who was at the Gershwin couldn't say exactly what happened- and didn't know what JLT's reaction was or how exactly people got to Idina to help her, it seems most likely that it happened somewhere or sometime when/where it wasn't completely visible to the audience
wicked4life, you're sounding quite condescending whether you notice or not. Plus your statements are inconsistent and confusing - No one's disputing that she went on for part of Act 2 - it's agreed that this happened during For Good. You went from saying she had a trap door malfunction to saying she didn't fall through a trap door - well, then what happened? Did it close on her and eat her up? And of course Shoshana has her own costume. At the very least, there's too much of a liability to have only one Elphaba costume. What if it got torn during the show?
mywonderwall,
I don't think anyone KNOWS yet. People just like putting down whatever details they can, no matter if they are true or not :x
