A few reasons... Bought the tix to see Idina PERFORM the role for her final time, not to be there for a curtain call. (which, dont get me wrong, will probably be great) The biggest problem, however, was that depending on who you spoke with at the Gershwin, no one was saying for certain that she would even be there at all. We were there between 12:30 and 1PM, and maybe it was too early at that time for them to give a definitive answer.
Also, as I mentioned in the previous post, got tix for 2/8 in order to see Shosh and some of the other new castmembers. I cant wait to see Shosh, and the fact that we have tix for February made the decision easier...
And last, but not least... wife is sick, and very grouchy !!!
hi im new here, and a huge fan of Wicked. Such a shame about Idina Menzel, i hope she gets better soon and she has my sympathy 4 th fact that she cudnt perform her last show, when she deserved an amazin nite 2 finish an amazin run!!! I wish her the best of luck for th future, though im sure she'll be fine, as she is a brilliant actress, with a unique, fantastic voice, and something very different and special about her! Im sure she'll be successful in whatever she pursues!!! PS lol bout th xrays on ebay!

I am going to start bawling when I read those reviews of today's performance/curtain call. I already was crying about five minutes ago listening to "Here." Capn Hook can vouch for me. I cry SO easily, but it is really heartbreaking that Idina had to end her run this way.
