Posted: 9/12/05 at 4:45pmThe Carousel Dinner Theatre in Akron hired American Idol finalist Camile Velasco as a lead in their production of Footloose, but 3 days into rehearsal, they lost their star. Velasco is said to have decided that she'd be better off going on the road to promote her latest single, and incurred multiple contract penalties for leaving as well. The Velasco-less show begins previews this week.

Well she recently got a major record deal with Motown Records.
So I wondered in the first place why she would do FOOTLOOSE.

She reminded me a lot of Irene Cara on the show.
Looks-wise. Not singing. By a long shot.
