I'd love for them to do "Into the Woods" as a Summer Stars production, but that's for totally selfish reasons...

^ It's too easily revived.
So? They just did FOLLIES a few years ago and that was revived 6 years before.

Encores may not openly solicit suggestions, but they do read them.
However you have to write to them because they don't cruise the message boards except maybe after a production.

Jordan-
I said EASILY not RECENTLY. Follies is not an easy show to sell. Into the Woods is. Woods is more likely to get commercial revivals.
Oh, I read recently. Nevermind. :)
But I do think that's the type of show they could do wonderfully in the summer with a collection of really great names and sell out the house.

Probably, but I'd rather them stick to some of the lesser-done shows.

Darling of the Day. Hands down the one I want the most. (Preferably starring Vicki Clark).

So far, every Summer Stars show they've done has been easily revived!
"So far, every Summer Stars show they've done has been easily revived!"
Exactly. For the Summer Stars series they can't exactly do OH, BROTHER. It has to be a recognizable show that everyone knows so it can sell for a while.
No one else will ever, ever, ever agree with me. But I'd love it if Encores did (predictably) The Scarlet Pimpernel. It's my favorite show, and I've always wanted to see a live professional production.

But the point of Summer Stars is to do a popular show with popular names. Gypsy, Damn Yankees, and The Wiz are not really lesser-done shows.
