I couldn't tell ya! I haven't been back since first preview.
Jordan has, though.
Well just back from today's matinee. I hadn't seen it in an earlt preview so can't make comparisons but
WHAT THE FCUK DID I WASTE 100 MINUTES ON?
That had to be the worse theater I have seen in many years.
1) What as it about?
2) Why all the furniture throwing into water
3) Jake's pretend British accent really really bothered me.
Any insight will be appreciated.
P.S. Despite everything I enjoyed looking a Jake.
Well, sounds like little has changed!
For what it's worth, I saw it this afternoon and liked it. Maybe because my expectations were so low? Sure, even at 100 minutes, it feels long. Sure it doesn't know what story it wants to explore or tell. But while it's nothing spectacular, I still enjoyed myself. Jake is very strong. And hot. Very hot.
I don't know what any of you are talking about. This is the most riveting and innovative pieces of theatre I have EVER seen! Brilliant! Brilliant! Brilliant!

I can't believe Jake Gyllenhaal was not the worst thing about this mess: http://scribicide.com/2012/09/28/why-dont-we-just-start-at-the-beginning/
Sorry, Jordan.

Aaronb,
I think both your writing and your opinions have merit; perhaps you would get more people to read them and prompt greater discussion here by cutting and pasting an excerpt from your reviews rather than providing just a link to them.
Give people an inducement to read your reviews.
Maybe they should change the title to
If there is plot or point to this, I haven't found it yet.

@After Eight -- not a bad idea. Will do in the future.
I was bored out of my mind.
I'd like those 100 minutes back, as well.
I don't even care enough about it to engage in a discussion regarding what the hell it was about. With each scene, I kept hoping it was the end. And then it went on and on and on and on.
Admirable performances. Curious, and somewhat interesting, set design. But, the play itself? Insufferable.
