Side Show
I saw this show the day before it closed, and was absolutely blown away by it.
Absolute perfection.

I agree with Bat Boy, because I love the score... but I kind of like the fact that it never went to Broadway...
Ragtime
Caroline, or Change
This is a toss-up between Ragtime and the original production of Follies.

Maybe it's just me (considering how quickly it closed, it probably is just me), but I really liked "Mister".
I thought it was damn good. Yassmin Alers was perfection, in my opinion, and Anthony Rapp was really great.
The Last 5 Years
EDIT: Hair
Hedwig and the Angry Inch (only original cast though)
For my own selfish purposes, Assassins, Into the Woods, Miss Saigon and Sunday in the Park with George. I never got to see them on Broadway, and I wanted to...so much. Especially the first two. And Les Mis is already coming back...no idea why, but I can't seem to get enough of that one.
Ragtime, Aida, Side Show, Sunday, and BARE.
Cheers,
Christopher

Footloose and Thoroughly Modern Millie. They were just so great.

Don't hate me, but 'Cats' and 'Les Mis,' both of which enjoyed remarkably lengthy runs on Broadway and continue to tour. I just don't understand why producers would decide to close a show just because it's been running for going on twenty years. If the audiences keep coming, they're clearly something to be said about the show itself. I'm thrilled that 'Les Mis' is making a comeback in the fall, and hope that they start up a new tour after its limited engagement in New York. It's devastating that the third national tour, which has been cycling the country since late 1988, is closing for the first time in 18 years.
Ragtime and The Life: Both fabulous shows that should still be running!
Dance of The Vampires...with the German Sets and story and songs.
The Normal Heart
Martin Guerre
and HELLO,DOLLY!......but not the Paper Mill Version
If I had to pick one and only one it would be Assassins. There will be so many revivals this fall (insert happy dance here!) that it was a little easier to pick one.
Little Shop of Horrors (wasn't a revival, it was the first time on Bway, with Hunte)
