Granting the premise that I'm being forced at gunpoint, I shall veer from the pack and choose Pippin. (today

impossible to have one. i would easily get tired and shoot myself with the same stuff playing endlesly..
i would need diversity to variate my short attention span!!
based on 'entertainment values' , 'content' and 'laughs and tears'
Broadway= rent, taboo, west side story, cabaret
Off Broadway= Batboy, DeLaGuarda, Hedwig and my new favorite....Media Killed the Video Star

Hard to pick just ONE. Some cast albums I just never tire of: OKLAHOMA!, CAROUSEL, MY FAIR LADY, COMPANY, SWEEYET TODD, SUNDAY, INTO THE WOODS etc. But to sit through a show agian and again "to the exclusion of all others" would be tough!
Cast albums are NOT "soundtracks."
Live theatre does not use a "soundtrack." If it did, it wouldn't be live theatre!
I host a weekly one-hour radio program featuring cast album selections as well as songs by cabaret, jazz and theatre artists. The program, FRONT ROW CENTRE is heard Sundays 9 to 10 am and also Saturdays from 8 to 9 am (eastern times) on www.proudfm.com

Though I worry, not about boredom, but from depression. The musical leaves me moapy after just listening to the CD, I think I will be slitting my wrists after several weeks.
So maybe I will have to choose a 'happy' musical then. I dunno. Maybe "Seussical"?
