Anyone know of any plays that deal with drug addiction? Thank you.

HATFUL was the first to come to mind for me. SIDE MAN also deals with it.

Water By The Spoonful by Quiara Alegría Hudes. It won the 2012 Pulitzer for Drama. As the son of an addict, I found it quite powerful.
There was also that play called "High" which was on Broadway with Kathleen Turner a few years ago. I saw it and actually enjoyed it. It was very heavy though.
Polaroid Stories
Very weird, abstract. Uses Greek myths to tell stories of addicts. Can be great or a total mess depending on the direction. Some good monologues in there.
Lady Day at Emerson's Bar & Grill.
The Nervous Set.

A Better Life (1993) by Louis Delgado Jr. [who was a recovering addict], The Connection (1959) by Jack Gelber, and James Lapine's Fran's Bed (2005).
Is this thread the BWW equivalent of when people start a conversation with "So, I have this friend..."
No, hateaerobics. Maybe they're doing research or have a community group that is using this as a theme.
Would next to normal count? (She's dependent to an extent on prescription meds.)
For straight plays anything by O'Neill really.
It for a community theatre group that has issues in the community with Addictions. The town is about 40k people. Thank you so much for the suggestions so far.

Reading everything on here literally seems like it would present problems.
I found "Water by the Spoonful" overrated, certainly for the Pulitzer, but it's worthy for the topic, and certainly isn't like most pieces on the subject.
Well, hateaerobics you can always stop gracing us with your presence. I didn't see any problem. (It turns out my hunch was correct.)
I always fantasize about leaving BWW, maybe someday you'll get your wish.
I don't hate anyone on here, just thought implying you had a secret drug problem might be humorous. But unless you add LOL and a smiley face, people will take it seriously a lot of the time.
LOL
I love that dreaming keeps call you "hateaerobics" like you.... HATE AEROBICS.
Never stop gracing us with your presence, haterobics.
