I'm most distressed that I'm not going to get to see this. I love a really bad piece of entertainment that takes itself really seriously. It'll be like watching Jack & Bobby, but with singing! (No offense to any Jack & Bobby fans out there. Maybe I'm missing something.)
On the site, the box for ordering the sampler doesn't have any place where you have to pay for anything. Does this mean that shipping is free?

Thanks. I have no objection to paying for shipping; I just don't see a place to. Ah, well. Looking forward to adding this to my collection of music to torture my sister with.
I'm going on Saturday night and also Tuesday the 11th!
I'm so excited that I'm reading Ken Mandelbaum's Not Since Carrie and listening to Kelly and Whoop- Up to prepare!
It will be nowhere near as lively as WHOOP UP! Though it may be as boring as KELLY.
My favorite thing about the video is the look on the pianist's face. "I'm getting paid for every minute of this." And opera, my ass.
This guy is giving earnestness a bad name.
There should be a BWW bar for all of us going to first preview tomorrow night.
well we shall see...I pray it does well--I'd love to rub this in Margo's face (ITS MY DREAM)lemme practice: MARGO ITS TIME TO START EATING YOUR WORDS!!! okay i'm warmed up, lets hope i can put this into performance

I'm so mad I can't go until Saturday night!!
While we're all predicting the fate of this show, let's make some guesses.
First of all, how far back do you think they're going to push opening? I.e., when do you think the show will actually open? (They only have 26 preview performances scheduled...Good Vibrations ended up with 50.)
And the big one...when do you think it's going to close? I highly doubt it'll close during previews, hell, even Good Vibrations stuck around for 94 performances. But seriously, how long do you think it'll last?
Anyway, I cannot wait for Saturday!
My guess- it'll put up its closing notice in a week. Brooks is crazy. Everyone (including his "TONY" winning creative team) seems to be laughing except him...I love on the website how he quotes them in which they say nothing positive...Just things like "This is an 'original' musical." As if that alone should grant him praise.
We are down to HOURS!! ARRRRGGGGGGGGGG!!! I wish I could see this, even with one eye!
Oh moon, grow bright...
And make this endless day endless night!
TOOOOONIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIGHT!!
The minutes seem like HOURS......
Does anyone know if Joe Brooks was ever an apprenticed to a pilot?
Since its all Hollywood money behind this show, that could mean deep pockets...The one week flop is kind of a thing of the past unless you have thigh masters in your show.
how would I go about getting free tickets or dirt cheap ticktets?
i'll be in town monday and tuesday, and this just may be exactly what i need to see :)
Since I will not be able to attend, in honor of tonight's first preview, I have already Tivo'd You Light Up My Life so that I will at least have a sense of the banality that might possibly be endured by our friends at the Music Box this evening.
So yesterday when I was on the subway after work, a woman's grocery bag tipped over and out rolled... a lemon. I couldn't decide if that's a good or bad omen.
And last night I saw 'Some Like It Hot' with Jack LEMMON. Surely a portent of things to come, right?
I'll be at the first show tonight! Front row center seat 107, come say hi to me!
