"Does anyone else find even the slightest bit ironic the glee with which Tiny-Toon is anticipating this show...and yet he/she has the logo for the Seoul production of BKLYN proudly displayed in his/her signature line?"

The reason I can't wait to see it is because I know what a big joke it is. It's going to be horrible! A musical about.. lemons.

I had no interest in seeing this show until this post.

It seems like something one must experience for themselves before they can fully appreciate the audacity of the piece!

Well I know what the show's about, I read it on their website.
I also got the sampler and know someone in the production.
It is horrible.

Am I the only person that actually thinks the show might be quirky and fun based on that synopsis. And, Calvin, I highly doubt they haven't finished the show...I think it's just referring to the plot. I'm not saying this show is gonna be great, cuz I don't know. And you don't know that it will suck either. That plot synopsis could have said anything and you would all STILL be talking about how much the show will suck. Most of you have thought that from the second it was announced for no apparent reason. And you know what, I think you all will go see it and hate it no matter how good it is also if you are going to go into it with that attitude...heaven forbid someone try to write something original. Thank god for you guys there'll be the Wedding Singer and Tarzan this season.

That synopsis seems like a summary a 7th grade English student would write for class. It was so elementary sounding.

Kidmanboy, let's just say for the sake of argument that you had a point as far as the plot may go, but as BS points out the music doesn't support that "quirky" concept. It is trite and simple and not something you might find in a "quirky" musical.
As for not giving it a chance, the plot+songs+tacky website/description/dialog sample...=Flop.

i no chiara shes 13 but she plays the 12 yr old. she is good, the show is only ok. ive seen a rehearsal. it wont last long.

Then you should be able to apply the things you learn in school to everyday life. That is why you go to school, to learn how to apply the things you learn and make them a permanent part of your character.

and, 11 yr olds ARE smart and DO have it tough, you just forget once you grow up because thats even tougher. and broadway is my life. i know like when everything is gonna happen, whos in what, and all that jazz so its not a terrible thing to be told that in my life probably won't last long.
