^ Ha!
In all seriousness, I vaguely remember when this show was Off Broadway. I hope it's good.

Sounds like the venue is the right match for the material.

no reflection on the show. It is NABS. Brought to us by a newbie, executive produced by the man who brought us Living on Love.

How do they not have a design team yet? I guess they weren't expecting to get a theater and then Fun Home posted notice. If they open early in the fall there's no way this is making it to Jan 1.

Not announcing something doesn't mean you don't have it...

It could be they just got their director. Gatelli was originally attached to this.

This is really looking a very very strange season. Between this and Oh Hello, no one was predicting this stuff!

this was on the radar. Circle is in a league of its own no pun intended. And if the show made sense on Broadway this is certainly where it would make the most sense.

Fair point. They didn't announce dates either so it seemed like a rushed announcement to me.

I thought I saw this off-Broadway with Wilson Jermaine Heredia, but I realize that was a different show about subway passengers called Tales from the Tunnel.
Of course, there was also Happiness, written by Frankel and Korie that dealt with a dozen New Yorkers trapped inside a subway car.
Did anyone see this off-Broadway, and if so how did it distinguish itself story-wise or thematically from the above shows?

Thanks for those links. After reading the reviews I'm surprised this transferred.

Why do I feel like I'm watching something from the '90s?
Also, is this similar at all to Held Momentarily from NYMF 2015?

"In Transit follows the intertwining lives of eleven New Yorkers, all hoping to catch the express train to success, love and happiness...and the stops they make along the way." I think I sprained my eyes from rolling them so hard.

If it's the express train, it shouldn't be making many, if any stops along the way. If they want stops along the way, they should take the local train to success, love and happiness. It gets there, it just takes longer and you can still transfer to the express train at 59th and West 4th. Amirite?
Can't wait to not see this.

All this talk of local and express reminds me of one of my favorite campy Leap of Faith lyrics:
Life is a thruway
To God's own address
Some take it local
And some go express!

The TheaterMania article included tags for Ben Crawford, Lindsay Mendez, and Erin Mackey - are they people who previously starred in In Transit or are they apart of the upcoming Broadway company?

ClumsyDude, they all performed in a concert production at 54 Below a few months ago. I don't think they have been confirmed for the Broadway production though:
