This GYPSY revival was the first time all 3 stars won a Tony, and the first time Louise and Herbie won. It IS history. The reviews were historic, especially Brantley's.

I don't know about this show being a part of "broadway history", though it will be greatly remembered.
I see Hairspray as being a big part of broadway history though.

Greatly remembered? No, it just one of those shows that comes in and leaves without a big ruckus. Glory Days has a better chance of being remembered in infamy.

It was ok - saw it once and never need to see it again.

At the beginning of the week, I was sorry to be seeing this show go.I loved this show when I saw it with the original cast twice. After seeing it again on Thursday night with the changes, I can't say I am sorry to see it close.

I saw the tour three times during it's Baltimore in prior to seeing it on Broadway one more time. I can say that despite the lack of staging, the Tour now has the superior cast.

All of the leads except Kate Shindle, Michael Rupert and Orfeh seemed flat. There is no life left in this show.

I think Nicolette Hart and Kate Rockwell were bad additions. Neither are close to matching their OBC counterparts.

Although she might have potential in the future, Bailey was not ready for a Broadway debut. She has more personality than LBB did (personally, I think Becky Gulsvig blows both of their performances away), she's not comfortable in the role. She tries too hard putting little improvs (riffs, adjusting her boobs, etc...) in her performance that are not needed. She's trying too hard, something a more seasoned actress wouldn't need to do.

I will say that not everything about the show was bad. I thought Autumn did a great job, and I hope she will have future Broadway opportunities. I also enjoyed the rest of the ensemble.

There is one more bit of good news from the cast. After the show, Beth Curry informed me that Idaho! (the NYMF show that she starred in and stole!) will be getting an industry run through in a few weeks. Hopefully, this show will be the next breakout show from the festival to make a dent commercially.

I didn;t read through this whole thread but i just wanted to say that Legally Blonde has brought so much joy to me in times that I've needed it. And there's really nothing greater than that. Congrats to everyone involved and I hope everyone finds great things to move on to.

The show may not be a huge piece of Broadway History. But it probably will be a huge part of hundreds of young girls' memories. I don't think that's any less important and one could argue the impact on a developing mind is more important than in a Broadway history book.

Feeling Electric - What changes are you referring to? The casting changes?
