Hmmm. She does seem a bit like Aaliyah.

I honestly really wish they would make an Aaliyah movie, like the Selena movie.

I know the fans would really appreciate that a lot.

i personally like the broadway soundtrack better then the movie soundtrack, i like the movie soundtrack but it sounds weird to me i dont know what it is , i agree emcee if glory goes anywhere ill die and start a riot about the movie (no pun intended) , the parts of the cd i really like are ill cover you reprise, what you own, your eyes, and finale B ..those r the highlights for me ... also i love this new song love heals

I was being mildly fecicious. I'm sure Glory isn't going anywhere, if only for fear that people would march on the studio in anger.

I need to repeat that I'm not saying Halloween is cut, by any means at all. I'm saying that I know on good authority that *something* is cut, but that I have no idea what the cut is, and then saying that I think (this thought only influenced by my own tickings, not the person who gave me said info) there's a chance it could be Halloween.

Just wanna keep that out there, to avoid premature (and hopefully unnecessary) freakouts.

I just hope they know what they're doing, cutting songs that are on the soundtrack. They better be prepared for the rioting in the streets- or at least completely shutting down the comments part of the blog. I almost want to avoid BWW for about the week after it comes out, just to avoid the initial madness and freakouts.

Whatever was filmed and then cut will surely be on the dvd release. So why stress it? The film of RENT has to work for audiences outside of fans of the show. If something slows down the pace -- it needs to be cut. Cutting "Class" from CHICAGO, for example, was the absolute right decision.

I'm not saying any of these have been cut, but I think you could make an arguement that neither "Today4U", "Santa Fe" or "Halloween" contains any information absolutely vital to character development or important plot progression.

Michael Bennett, I think Today 4 U does contain important character development. Without Today 4 U, Angel's whole happy-go-lucky, no day but today personality isn't really evident. So after he dies, when everyone is talking about him as living for love and everything there's really nothing in the show that better displays that. I don't think just his minor parts in other songs characterize him as much as this song does.

Okay, I have to admit, I don't think it would be awful if Halloween were cut. However, if BOTH Halloween and the Mark-Roger fight at the end of Goodbye Love are cut, I'd be pissed. The "second half" part really got me, they can't NOT include the fight part, it contains basically all of Mark's character development for the entire show. Without that, I feel like Mark is just going to come across as the guy with the camera instead of the most-loved character from the show. Not to mention Mark pointing out to Roger why he's really avoiding Mimi...maybe it's just the conversation about sending Mimi to rehab that could be cut?
