The rhythm/feeling/power bit was changed in the show as well a few years back. I've never been able to figure out WHY, but that's not a new change. It just carried.
*sigh*
All of the references to New Years Day, Christmas Day, are all because the begining of the movie takes place over the course of 3-4 days, instead of 3-4 hours.
Get it? Got it? Good.
As for the change in LVB, no idea.
Thanks Em and Mandi!
Is anyone else totally in love with Rosario's riffs and vocals in Another Day??
I got mine from Best Buy. THere was no O-cards or whatever you call them with the seperate characters! Just the regular soundtrack cover with all of them. And I nearly didn't find it, there was nothing promoting it, it was on the bottom shelf of the "Hot New Releases" I was very disapointed. I live in Canada so maybe we don't have them here? Do you only get the special covers in New York? I'm confused...
I really like it, I'm still getting used to it. I was disapointed in Rosario's Out Tonight and it's my favourite song on the OBCR. Her voice is not strong enough and is drowned out by the background music. That song is my only complaint, though :) My new favourite song is Goodbye Love, I love it. It was also awesome to see the new pictures in the little booklet.
Now, if anyone knows WHY the change was made in LVC, I am kind of curious! Maybe they just thought it flowed better?
I personally like "..feeling, power, harmony and heavy competition" better. I dunno, maybe Im just used to it like that.
kitkat, I know someone else in Canada who said they didn't have o-cards, either. Maybe it's only in the States.
I do too, WickedRocks, but I think it's just because I'm used to it. Like, when I see the show live, I still get thrown at that line.
Gah. I LOVE IT!! I'm on OTM, now. It'll take some getting used to. My favorite so far is RENT. It's great.
BTW, if my last comment came off as snotty, it wasn't meant to.
Anyway, I actually never noticed that they changed that line in the show. *shrug* Oh well. I think the second way sounds kind of awkward, but again, that could just be due to me being used to tbe OBC, which I think is a problem that many people are going to have.

Sorry to interrupt, but is this the highlights CD or the real thing? I haven't bought anything yet because I won't have the money for a while, but I need to know where it's available outside of New York.
Im listening to Light My Candle. How freaking funny is it?! It's funny, smart, clever, and sharp as ever.
I am 1000000000% sure this has been discussed, but Mimi says she 19. How old is Rosario Dawson? How dumb do they think we are. Rosario looks young, but not 19. Same goes for Daphne.
I've probably posted something similar to this at least 3 times already, but I am going to say it again. I am reserving my judgment about OTM until I see the movie. I still believe that this was a recorded track done for the sake of inclusion on the soundtrack but that what we will hear in the actual film, will be the live version. Although, I believe it will be closer to the soundtrack version rather than the OBC, I still think it will be much more energetic due to its live nature. That being said, I've been listening to the sountrack alot over the last week (and yes, i did go out and buy a copy today!!) and while at first I was disappointed with the version, it has grown on me a lot.
nia, it's two disks, so it's the whole thing. But if you go to a Barnes and Noble store, it's way, way more expensive than the price they list. I have no idea why the date change.
LMC sounds the most different to me -- instrumentation-wise.
Rosario is about 25ish, I think.
I *think* Rosario is 26...but I could be wrong.
I don't think it's that big of a deal...maybe they'll put a lot of make-up on her. And, like you said, Daphne didn't exactly look 19 either...
Thats the real CD. There are 14 songs on each disc for the actual, full-length soundtrack. I didnt know there was a highlights CD for the movie. It's only $24 at Best Buy...not bad considering I saw a few single discs for $26.
I can't wait to hear this CD. None of the stores near me had it yet AHH! I'm so excited, though!

So will it not be in B&N until November? How much more is it? I'm so confused. They need to label these things more clearly.
No, STORES in the States have it now, but it's $25 or so. If you order it online, apparently it's not shipping until 11/8, but it's cheaper.
"Out Tonight" should be released as a single, like on radio mtv and such...
Oh, and I am the only one annoyed by Idina's long breath before OTM? It irritates me.
She sounds great on it though. Her "mooing" always gets me. She has a funny way of mooing. LOL
I pre-ordered mine through amazon, and it shipped today.

It's random. But I think when there's something to watch, it won't seem so odd.
#12! Awesome!
I really want to see where this thing debuts on the charts next week. I'd love to see it in the top 10, and have people wonder 'WTF is this?'
Emcee, when did they change it? Every time I've seen it in the past 5 years, Angel has said "Feeling power". Maybe they just do it on Broadway?
