No, I already tried that. In your library there are two groups the VOD and the downloaded.

I'm so anxious to see this, that I just may pay for the VOD as well, if anyone in the US can confirm that it's working
Update:
Scratch that. I ordered the VOD as well, and it is in fact working in the US. I am SO leaving work early now.

The VOD definitely works in the UK.
It's a great production..we saw it on a Saturday evening after the matinee and loads of previous previews) had been rained off.

abitoftap, just out of curiosity, have you had a chance to watch the video yet? Does it stop a lot to "buffer" or load?
I'm at home and poorly, which is why I'm on line now!..so I'm saving it for when I'm in a better frame of mind to enjoy it (and fix the cable to the TV).
I'm checking now though..when we saw it it wasn't dark until after the interval. It's streaming fine...no buffering

Alright, people. 24 hours later, and it's officially available to download. Just got this email:
Following a brief delay we are very pleased to announce that Into the Woods is now available.
Stephen Sondheim and James Lapine's Into the Woods takes the stories of the Brothers Grimm and gives them a dark and humorous twist.
Simply visit www.digitaltheatre.com/account, log in and select My Library to enjoy your purchase.
Video-on-Demand editions will be available immediately while Standard/High Definition purchases will be available once downloaded into the Digital Theatre Desktop Player.
Well, mine still won't play. Just says checking drm license. I want to scream.

I'm actually on the same boat. I'm so confused, and their website is not very user friendly, since all it says when you go to "My Library" is "Products which appear in the 'downloadable' section ( above ) are for use with the Digital Theatre player which is free to download from here. Once you have downloaded and installed the player all of your videos listed in this section will be made available to you."
But I already have the player installed. And where will all the videos listed be made available at?! Don't we have to DOWNLOAD them!? I hate this company.
I want to try and reinstall the player but at the same time I don't want to screw with anything.

I think we're supposed to download the video from the website, but there's no "Download" option. I don't think it has to do with the player.
If you've bought the vod it's just there. If you sensibly waited for the download, I don't know!
I just wish that those who purchased it for download also had the option of vod!

Hex, trust me, I paid for the VOD, but it was such a pain in the ass with the buffering and the loading, that I wrote to them asking for my money back. THAT, they replied to.
I also found their twitter, but whoever runs it is also kind of an idiot and doesn't understand that I can't download the video, not the player
You download the video through the player. Open it up and there's a section of available downloads. It's about 4gb.
When putting in my address, do I put my state under "County"? Is there any place to put my city?
EDIT: Also, what information do I put under "Expiry", "Valid From", and "Issue No"?

WickedFan:
Expiry= Expiration Date. Since I live in the US, I left all the others blank and it went through just fine.
Also just a quick update. I e-mailed their tech support and got a response in about 3 minutes. They basically let me have the vod option while they worked out whatever kinks with the download. Just finished Agony and will come back to see the rest tonight. Very interesting production with some strange cuts and changes. Very enjoyable!
Hex3- So which blanks did you actually fill in?

Another e-mail from tech support:
"Some customers are experiencing problems with the DRM checking process and for this I can only apologise. We are investigating the issue at the moment and will get back to you as soon as a solution is found."
He also mentioned that there is no way to burn the file to a DVD, in order to prevent piracy.
Yay for it finally being available! Looking forward to trying the VOD this weekend!
So what are the chances Broadway shows do the same?
An hour ago, Digital Theatre sent a tweet to me saying the support team was currently responding to my e-mail, and I still haven't received a reply. This is so frustrating!
My thoughts so far:
INCREDIBLE staging. It must have been stunning live - I've never seen anything like it.
Wonderful performances all round.
Fun facts: I will marry Ben Stott. Jenna Russell will be Godmother when we adopt Beverley Rudd. Helen Dallimore will assume the role of Auntie and can help Jenna look after Bev while Ben and I are... busy.
So I was finally able to purchase it, but I'm not sure how to get it to download and play once I have the video player open.

wickedfan, did you buy the VOD or the SD/HD version? If it's VOD, you can just click play and watch instantly. The other versions, I don't think Digital Theatre have got their act together yet. I still can't watch or download the file.
