Mike, taking 5 years off of being on stage to have her daughter and work on other things isn't comparable to someone who never did any theater again after 2005. Sara is stunning with a gorgeous voice, but it doesn't seem to be in the cards.

aaaand the backtrack. "doesnt seem to be in the cards" replaces "couldnt and shouldnt be in this show," having a baby gets substituted for her years of TV work, and praise for Sara to soften the ridiculous point entirely. LIKE CLOCKWORK.
(not only would Ramirez be fun in the role, the producers would jump at it if she were interested)

I've never heard anything to suggest Sara has never wanted to come back to Broadway and never have I heard them say anything negative about Broadway or theatre. They were on Grey's, a network show with a busy filming schedule that ran forever for most of that time and had other steady work on film/TV, which pays better and is easier than doing stage work. I can't fault them for taking the opportunities they've been given or hold it against them. They have done concerts and fundraisers and things around NYC since 2005. I know it's unlikely. I was just throwing it out there.
