That is incorrect.  Per the show's website and on Seatgeek:

Who is in the cast for Into the Woods on Broadway?

THROUGH AUGUST 21, the star-studded cast of Into The Woods on Broadway includes Sara Bareilles as the Baker’s Wife, Brian d’Arcy James as the Baker, Patina Miller as the Witch, Phillipa Soo as Cinderella, Gavin Creel as the Wolf/Cinderella’s Prince, Joshua Henry as Rapunzel’s Prince, Aymee Garcia as Jack’s Mother, Ta’Nika Gibson as Lucinda, Annie Golden as Cinderella’s Mother/Grandmother/Giant’s Wife, Albert Guerzon as Cinderella’s Father, Brooke Ishibashi as Florinda, Kennedy Kanagawa as Milky White, David Patrick Kelly as the Narrator/Mysterious Man, Julia Lester as Little Red Riding Hood, Nancy Opel as Cinderella’s Stepmother, Cole Thompson as Jack, David Turner as the Steward, and Alysia Velez as Rapunzel. With Delphi Borich, Felicia Curry, Jason Forbach, Alex Joseph Grayson, Cameron Johnson, Paul Kreppel, Mary Kate Moore, Diane Phelan, and Lucia Spina as understudies.

Casting for performances BEGINNING AUGUST 23 will be announced soon.

I just HOPE AND PRAY Patina stays through the extension! That woman's performance as the witch sent chills down my spine. More people need to see her performance!

The idea is to work and to experiment. Some things will be creatively successful, some things will succeed at the box office, and some things will only - which is the biggest only - teach you things that see the future. And they're probably as valuable as any of your successes. -Harold Prince

There will be cast changes. I don’t think they’re as extensive as they were going to be but there will still be new people joining. Like everything with this production, things just happen and change so damn fast. I can’t remember a time where a production had everything happen like this.

Hoping we get a Stephane J Block an Brandon Uranowitz reunion with the Bakers Wife and Baker. Maybe have another big(dish) broadway name for Cinderella's Prince...is Brandon Victor Dixon available? I'd also love to see a huge name as the Witch to ensure a long run through the year at the very least.

Brandon Uranowitz is in the Leopoldstadt cast so unfortunately that's not likely to happen.

Let's get Heather Hedley back for a few weeks --- also on my "witch wish list":  La Chanze, Donna Murphy, Lea Salonga, Audra McDonald, Kristin Chenoweth and (of course) Patti!

Gosh I’d love to see Murphy without having to project through all that foam nonsense she had to keep adding through act one in the SITP production. So fascinating to have her play both sides of Rapunzel’s mother figure with previous work in Tangled. One day she needs to do a Mother Knows Best/Stay With Me medley!

1,000 times YES to Carmen Cusack... just the mere thought of her "Last Midnight" gives me chills...

Phillipa Soo is doing Guys and Dolls at The Kennedy Center with performances starting early October, so I don't know how that timing will work out.

I wonder if they’ll just have someone fill in for her temporarily or if they’ll recast entirely.

Are these the "reunion" casting (from another show, not ITW) rumors I heard last month?
