A few days ago, it was up. And not too long ago his paperback of his memoir was released. And just a few weeks ago he was performing at a benefit. Why does his website seem to now be an unregistered domain?
One of the gayest thread titles we’ve had in a while! Brava.
I understand that he devotes himself to knitting or some such these days. No time for this website thing that you describe.

Quiltmaking and dogs, yes
But he said like a year ago he was writing four things and somebody was developing a TV show for him
Which last time he had a show it was immediately cancelled but still that's possible
And as for his writing
Well remember last time he said "I have four things I'm writing"?
That led to the three concurrent Broadway runs of Newsies, Kinky Boots, and Casa Valentina
So I feel like if he started writing something
It's gonna happen one day
So is he just like
Saving money by waiting to re register his domain?
...
Also couldn't I technically buy his domain and pretend to be him if I wanted to
Not that I would but like how weird is it to buy a domain of your name and use it for a while so that people know it exists and then just stop using it
It's like now all of a sudden somebody else could just
Like
Take it
Yes, you can indeed purchase the website name now and if he wanted it back, he has no legal right to it any longer and his only option is to purchase it from you. This has happened to countless celebrities when someone already owns their website name. Many people purposely buy website names in advance in hopes an artist needs it and has to buy it from them.
Perhaps he or his team has looked at the visitor numbers and decided it to be not worth the expense. Do personal websites really have any value these days?

I would say no, unless you're running something like an online store. Especially when Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram pages are a lot easier and effectively free to run.

Which makes sense. I was actually on a Broadway performer's Facebook page to post something. Clicked on their website page and it was no longer up.

To be fair I was probably one of the only ten people on Earth consistently checking it
And it was never updated
