I can never tell if you're serious, Jordan, but I'm pretty sure it isn't. She had nothing to do with that production at all, and unless I'm mistaken, she was still in Rocky Horror at the time - not that that would preclude her from being on the window card, just that it would be an odd choice. My guess is that it was one of the "ghost" showgirls. She does look just a little like Wendy Waring.

Phyl is probably correct, though it does seem like a altered photo of someone vaguely familiar - I'm just pretty sure it's not Alice. Why would they use her image when she was in another show at the same time?

Not sure if I'd buy her as Sally - they'd really have to dowdy her up.

Acting-wise, Alice would KILL as Sally. But she definitely couldn't sing it, given her current vocal state. (And Emily Skinner would make a brilliant Phyllis).
"You travel alone because other people are only there to remind you how much that hook hurts that we all bit down on. Wait for that one day we can bite free and get back out there in space where we belong, sail back over water, over skies, into space, the hook finally out of our mouths and we wander back out there in space spawning to other planets never to return hurrah to earth and we'll look back and can't even see these lives here anymore. Only the taste of blood to remind us we ever existed. The earth is small. We're gone. We're dead. We're safe." -John Guare, Landscape of the Body

Truth to tell, Jordan, I don't see the resemblance at all, but there's a lot going on there in that poster, so who knows?

Alice could definitely sing and act Sally, IMO.

^ Emily has lost a lot of the weight. And, for that matter, there is nothing (that i remember) saying that Phyllis couldn't have put on weight.

Well given that Judith Ivey was able to sing it, I think Alice would be fine. Ivey didn't have the upper register for the score, but she managed to get the notes out.

You must not have seen the production. Ivey was a mess vocally, warbling and croaking through the score. She's a brilliant actress, but a Sally who cannot do the songs justice is no Sally at all.

And it's not even worth responding to Roslyn.

No, I didn't see it. But I've heard multiple audios, and have seen several clips. I never said she sounded pleasant or even good. I said she managed to get the notes out, which she most certainly did.

I actually liked the Follies '01, but not one of the four older leads were singers, though I loved Blythe Danner, who was the least capable singer of all. Yes, Ivey was a mess vocally, but boy, did she bring the crazy.

Totally agree about the RR sockpuppet.
