I was at the opening performance last night and really enjoyed the show. I had not read a synopsis of the play beforehand and so was completely surprised by Act Two taking place some 40 years later. I thought it was a pretty interesting concept, telling the story of '30s-era Black actors who'd always play maids, slaves, servants, etc. and how that could be both a help & hindrance to their future careers. I
loved the final image!
