If wishes came true I'd happily wish to send you back to apartheid South Africa, Dave19.

Why pull race into this? I'm talking about class.
With people like you, who only look at race, nothing has changed since the apartheid South Africa.

I couldn't help but notice that for a person who says people are just people and even noticing our differences is in itself an act of racism that YOU, Dave 19, YOU listed four artists who are black and connected their "walking around" to "danger everywhere."
THAT'S WHY, Dave 19. That's why.

And isn't it so funny how Dave only sees black people as not having class? Just a coincidence, really, that white Anglo-Saxon Julie Andrews is the epitome of class while all those black musicians (who are walking around in the wild, apparently) are just so classless.

Black people walking around = danger everywhere, according to Dave19.
Here's what he actually wrote, before he goes back and changes it:
Who knows when it happened. With all the Destiny's child, Kanye West and Nicki Minaj' and Rihanna etc, walking around in the wild, danger lies everywhere. -- Dave19

Are you saying that black people don't have class?
I know plenty of black people who do have class.
But let's focus on actual performances and presentation here please.

So you mean we should ignore your racism and stick to your astute observation that the performers from Hamilton on The Tonys thought they were cool?
Your mind-reading is permeated with your racism. They're inextricable.

Nope, it's nothing more than an opinion of a show and performance.
I dislike some shows with white actors too, you know. Again, not all is about race.
Some things are about other things.

But when it's YOU... it's about not liking black people. Sometimes racism is just racism.

I must have missed the thread where you had a favorable view of anything related to POC, can you link to it?

I am sure Rob Diamond our Editor in Chief has a heat map for his website and knows what gets the most visits and would be certain that stuff like Hamilton, Book of Mormon and Wicked are the most popular, so therefore BWW would be inclined to do more articles on these shows, in the hope of keeping you on this site longer, which is more appealing for advertisers, all about business.
I am sure as I mentioned Rob Diamond he is likely to read this post as he probably has similar software that flags up if someone types his name, so if I am wrong please don't sue me. Right?

If Dave's posts weren't all dripping with casual, oblivious racism, he would be able to give ANY thought to CONTENT instead of dismissing entire forms and styles that he knows damn well were originated by people of color. He doesn't give a damn about what the work is actually saying or doing.

Just that the performers are thinking they're cool, cuz he can't read text or subtext but he can definitely read minds.

That is just about creating a funny sound with your voice that makes me laugh. Unnatural. Therefore it feels silly and not cool.
And you want some more thoughts about content? Let's start with the ‘The Schuyler Sisters’. It sounds like a cheap rip-off of Destiny’s Child and the lyrics are very dull and it sounds like they have too many bars for the amount of words, so they just made up something far fetched to fill it up. The sisters Schuyler, Angelica, Eliza and Peggy introduce themselves multiple times, which is very dull and unnecessary and makes the audience feel like a fool, the public already knows who they are.
Daveed Diggs and Leslie Odom are actually very bad at rapping, and have a grating sound, which makes it even funnier with the feigned semi serious sound they try to go for.

Funny that Diggs was known for his rapping before even landing the Hamilton gig.

I mean, how on earth can you expect the son in this video to develop a decent sense of taste and style in life?

So, wonderfulwizard11, I can understand you like it, just like this son will probably like it (he seems to smile), but that is because he doesn't know better. It is all he knows. That makes it even sadder. So yes, you are a victim of this conspiracy.
It is highly unlikely that this boy will live to grow up to appreciate fine art, and to recognize sheer beauty and finesse and real emotion in the majority of singing voices and styles. "
1) you're so racist it's ridiculous 2) just because you like something other people like it doesn't make you a lemming.

Funny you mentioned Daveed because he had a legitimate career in rapping before Hamilton. And Leslie's voice sounds VERY similar to a few popular rappers.
But then again your head in your ass could have muffled the sounds.

If you want to see some real racist stuff from Dave, search for the threads when they announced the remake of ANNIE. If I remember correctly, he really wasn't too pleased about that.

Florence Foster Jenkins was known for her singing too.
And Nicki Minaj is known for her rapping too.
Doesn't mean it can't make me laugh my butt off.
