I'm wondering if the Goodman's production of "Brigadoon" will be the next tenet of Studio 54 come the fall. I know that Roundabout did a workshop of it in December.

If Lindsay Lohan comes into the show, i bet the show would make a lot of money so i doubt they would close with her. Its probably gonna be her. And it seems they want to get another show in there for this season. Why would they close if they are still making money unless they wanted to bring another show?

Since On the Twentieth Century is at the American Airlines, I wonder if the much delayed Noises Off might come into fruition, it's unlikely it'll be ready in the Spring since Jeremy Herrin is directing Wolf Hall but Fall 2015 is possible

^ Noises Off already has dates set for Winter 2015. Pretty sure it's at the Airlines.

^Therese Raquin with Keira Knightley is opening in October at the American Airlines so that rules it out as a theatre for Noises Off.

THERESE RAQUIN is running 10/1 into December, followed by NOISES OFF in late December/early January.

ETA- Playbill has a first preview date of 12/17 listed for NOISES OFF at the AA.

I doubt even a small production could get squeezed into Studio 54 by Tony time, the theatre will have to be restored from table seating back into the normal seating arrangements.

^ They haven't sold anything to their subscribers for after Cabaret at 54, so I think it's safe to say they don't have another Broadway show to announce for the season.

RE; subscribers. In fact, for those of us that bought the traditional full season subscription, we received emails last year informing us there would be no 7th show this season & we were given several options on compensation, though I don't remember what they all were. I chose to apply the $$$ to next season's sub.


Re: Merton. It was fun, though not sure how it would fare in an actual production. It's not nearly as well-known a title as Harvey was.

FYI there are many tickets still available for the final performance on March 29. Hiptix gold members - a lot of front mezzanine and most of the rear orchestra is still available. I'm curious who will go on as Sally after Emma Stone...

Arghhhhh I really wanted her to extend to the end of the show. I'm moving to NYC on Feb 27 and have table tickets to see it Feb 28 and I wanted it to be her so badlyyyy.

Wonder who will close the show...

I would love it if they closed the show with a theatre name like Lauren Ambrose though of course it'd be cool if they land a Hollywood star like Williams and Stone.
I certainly hope that the Donna Murphy-led SUNSET BLVD becomes a reality, either at Studio 54 or elsewhere.

Are we really sure that Cabaret is closing? I've been checking the Roundabout site daily, waiting for tickets to go on sale for our June trip. For many weeks it had said "closing March 29" when I clicked on the link to ticket sales, but about a week or so ago it changed to "on sale through March 29." I was hoping that this change in wording meant that a new block of tickets would be going on sale soon. Maybe it's just wishful thinking on my part....

I received an email from Roundabout this afternoon with the subject "Farewell 'Cabaret' on Broadway", and the email stated "Sam Mendes and Rob Marshall’s production of Cabaret at Studio 54 is closing on Broadway March 29, 2015." So it does look like it will be closing, barring any last minute extension.

surprised they're closing this on March 29 when it could definitely sell well through the spring & summer.
