Ooh, I was hoping that Aaron Lazar would be back on Broadway soon after Tale didn't exactly work out...

Yesssss, finally! Just an hour or two before this was posted I was thinking about how they really need to make it official and was going to post on the other thread if anything heard anything. Yay!

SOOOOOOOO excited for Aaron Lazar and Leigh Ann Larkin. I really do wish that someone else were playing Charlotte though. I like Erin Davie, but I cannot see her in that role. Oh well, perhaps I will be pleasantly surprised.

Definitely psyched for A Lans, Erin Davie, Aaron Lazar and Leigh Ann Larkin! I'm really looking forward to hearing Herdlicka and Ramona Mallory, too.
When I see the phrase "the ____ estate", I imagine a vast mansion in the country full of monocled men and high-collared women receiving letters about productions across the country and doing spit-takes at whatever they contain.

Can anyone who saw the production in London opine about the Frederick?

Now that I can actually talk about it: I am shocked about the producers casting Hanson (especially since there was so much drama over Hannah Waddingham) but I can't wait to see his portrayal of the character. Would I have liked to have seen Stokes or some other "Broadway star", sure, but this is also exciting.
bjh- I have loved Davie in everything I have seen her do. She makes great choices as an actress (both in terms of roles to play and how to play them) and I can't wait to see her in this.

With a stone clutched in his hand
He was only a boy
But he knew someone must take a stand
There will always be a valley
Always mountains one must scale
There will always be perilous waters
Which someone must sail

Saw it in London, and while Alexander is very good in the role, and he and HAnnah had chemistry, he wasnt knock out 'wow lets transfer him to NYC because no one else could do it like that' brilliant

Im so excited about this cast! As for Hanson, I was quite shocked at first! But good for him! Saw him in both this and Marguerite and I thought he didn't disappoint in both!

Excited for Leigh Ann Larkin!!! She deserved a Tony nod for GYPSY.
I've yet to be blown away by either Erin Davie or Aaron Lazar, so maybe now I will be? I hope so!
Very excited for this.

SO happy for Aaron Lazar!
Hanson was very good in the London production. I'm glad to see him come over.

Obviously she's too old for this production, but Christine Baranski was divine as Charlotte in the Roundabout concert!

I liked her in Grey Gardens, but really didn't care for in Applause at Encores! So we'll see.

Lol re the casting of Fredrick. What a disappointment, but good for him. Sorry but the last word that comes to mind regarding him is exciting, unless you are his family or a friend, in which case, good for you.
Overall, this feels incredibly anti-climatic after so much speculation. The only piece of casting we were waiting for was Fredrick and look who it turned out to be.
Happy for Lansbury, Zeta-Jones, and Davie though.

I'm just so happy that its not Raul Esparza as Frederik, that I'll take Hanson.
I can't wait to see this, I love idea Zeta-Jone, Davie, Larkin and of course Lansbury in these role, I'm not the biggest fan of Lazar, but I can see him doing it well.

Petra, how too exciting!
Just what we needed.
Petra, such elegant casting!
So chic, I hardly believe it.

I hope they don't bring over Alexander Hanson for this - I think he's too young for the role.

umm, this is the official announcement. He is coming over. And He is not too young, please remember that Nunn is telling this with a younger cast.
