Whoa. There was clearly coming as his attendance has been absolutely atrocious lately.
And after he damaged his voice last fall/winter, I imagine?

You all probably shouldn't expect Brian d'Arcy James to replace him. He said that doing the show Off-Broadway was enough and he usually doesn't like to reprise roles.

- Well he was seen at the show last week.
I doubt it will happen...but I would be THRILLED if BDJ did come back!
Yeah. I've seen/read/heard numerous things about d'Arcy James saying that he has no desire to return to the role.
I think alot of this casting depends on whether or not Ripley does indeed tour with the show. If a younger Diana is brought in, I could see Dan being a bit older as well.
I wouldn't be entirely opposed to having Asa Somers rejoin the production, despite many people's opinions on him. He emergency covered the role a couple of weeks ago when Spencer was out and Berry was on vacation. That being said, I think they would love to pull in a "Broadway name" for the role.

Well, he was busy with those concerts which attracted the ire of Frankie Valli.
Wonder if he has some lawyer appointments lined up for May.

Asa is going to be in "The Burnt Part Boys" at Playwrights Horizons

Maybe Michael Berry is getting an upgrade?
Many people are going to be very surprised when the replacement is announced.
Long-time fans of the show will find it exciting, though.
I would not be surprised if it was someone like Anthony Rapp or Norbert Leo Butz

^ If that's the case, it would probably be Anthony Rapp.
I would not be surprised if it was someone like ... Norbert Leo Butz
I would...seeing as he's in Enron...
I can't see Rapp in the role at all.
And I don't necessarily see the return of Joe Cassidy all that interesting.
I predict Brian d'Arcy James or Michael Berry.

Are the rear mezz (36.50's) sold out already for his final show?
I don't know Tking, why not use Telecharge and get back to us.
I'm hoping Anthony Rap......
I'm really hoping it's not Anthony Rapp...I'd love for Brian d'Arcy James to come back and do it though.
Anthony Rapp played the doctor, not Dan. And he would look 16 onstage next to Alice.
Anthony Rapp also can't sing.......
