To me I think they steal the show of 'Hairspray' especially Jackie Hoffman. They are hilarious.

JENN!! yay!! they are the best duo ever!! i love jackie and jenn. i love jenn a tiny bit more. sorry, i'm biased.
no its cool, shes just as funny!
i saw hairspray all the way back on august 1st of last year... which was about when jen started. back then, she wasn't getting the attention that she's getting today, so i feel bad to say that i didn't pay AS MUCH attention to her as i should have. from what i remember though, she was hysterical and REALLY good in the role... and she was so incredibly nice at the stage door... i remember that much!!

i wish i had clips of her as penny. all i have is a video that has like 2 seconds of her. i'll post it if you want.

Jackie's hysterical in all her roles in Hairspray.
I loved her adlibs
Anyone catch her on Curb Your Enthusiasm last year?
She only had two lines but she completely stole the episode! :)
Does Jenn do the last riff in "It's Hairspray" on the CD?

I think Jackie Hoffman is great! It's a shame her part isn't that big...I don't think it matters though cuz she still steals the show (now that Harvey left). I think she needs a bigger role though in her next show. She is sooo funny
Jackie is hysterical. Surprisingly, shes not very kind in person, though. She has great comic skills nonetheless.

I'm not sure how Jackie is to strangers, but I sense that she's not one to go out of her way to be overly friendly and put on airs for people she doesn't know. She's a friend of a friend and has always been very nice to me and a lot of fun to be around. Mind you, if you intimidate easily (I don't) she can probably come off as rather difficult (she's very blunt and to the point -- qualities I happen to love). But, if you can hold your own conversationally, she's a blast.

It's not Jenn doing the riff on "(It's) Hairspray"....Jenn was the original Brenda, and Shelly is the ensemble member who does the "Skadoyadoya--wwwaaaow!"...currently played by Leslie Kritzer, originally Shoshana Bean (who appears on the CD).
And just to keep this on-topic...concerning Jackie & Jenn. On Jenn's original last performance as Penny in April, when Prudy was tying Penny up, instead of saying "This one's for being willful, this one's for being deceitful, and this one's for crying weeweewee all the way hom.." She said "This one's for being willfull, this one's for being deceitful, and this is for abandoning your mother.."

it is jenn doing the riff. if you check the lyrics for that song in the booklet it says 'brenda:Skadoyadoya--wwwaaaow.' they could have made a mistake though.

It is definately Jenn on the CD, doing the riff. I've seen a short clip and it was her :) She's amazingly talented and I'm so glad people love her! She's also one of the sweetest people I've ever met.
Jackie Hoffman is hilarious and she's always been nice to me. I know she isn;t a fan of children but she loves elderly folks. Anyway, she is awesome. -Penny

EVERY time I have seen the show, 'Shelley' has done that riff... of course, many things vary between the CD and show.....

**shrugs** Then I guess it depends... LOL. Last time I saw it, Michelle was out, Kat Shileds was on, and Les hit the riff
