Previews for Evita start in February (rehearsals in January) so previews will probably start around Valentine's Day-ish? Either way, I think the timing will be too tight.

Regarding potential Jamie Lloyd burnout, I say: give me more. He's the hardest-working director on both sides of the pond and is clearly changing the game. It's entirely possible Lloydwins BOTH directorial Tonys in 2027."
Hardest working does not equal quality of which he's sorely lacking. Much like Ivo and Sam Gold, the pedals are falling off the rose. If he didn't have stars, he would be seen as a vandal to classic works."
Completely agree and I doubt this extends, it won't need to."
Tom Hiddleston is a huge draw but ok lol

Yep, just my opinion considering the size of the theater and the timing of Evita.

I think I would rather go back in time and see the 1957 production in Connecticut starring Katherine Hepburn. Can I do that for $196???

Why? This production is excellent, one of Lloyd's best.

Not so huge. Betrayal was on TDF regularly back in 2019.

But I would argue that Hiddleston is much more of a name since 2019 -- Loki happened after he was on Broadway with Betrayal.

Tom Hiddleston is SIGNIFICANTLY more popular in 2026 vs 2019 plus you get Hayley “Mission Impossible” Atwell in this too!

Or the Rumors could be wrong and Evita would play the Majestic Theater instead.

I know I’d be happy to chip in to send you back to 1957!

Tom Hiddleston has been known to us, Marvel fans, as Loki since Thor, love. Ever since 2011.

yes as a side character, getting his own show elevated him quiet a bit

FYI -- the code for the Fan Pre-Sale is JLCADO, starts at 10am tomorrow 5/14 on Telecharge. (Public on-sale begins Friday.)
I can't find much about group sales and a few friends are quite excited - this is the first show I've planned this far in advance for in awhile. I hope it's as wonderful as the buzz suggests!

It really is a blast! And the cast transferring is amazing, especially Mason Alexander Park.

Grabbed our tickets as we are flying across in November….row E mezz….anyone sat there ? I thought 145$ per ticket through the Amex presale was reasonable.

I really wanted to see this. But I have low vision needs and the seats that they're holding for people with low vision disabilities are priced at premium levels. I will never understand how a wheelchair accessible seat is discounted, but somebody who cannot see does not receive any discount. The ableism and double standard is astounding and insulting and disgraceful. I was really desperate to see this one, but I can't afford to and I'm not going to spend over $100 to watch a blurry mess that gives me a headache after the first act. It has been really depressing since I've started losing my sight. The theater is not accessible for people with disabilities. I can't tell you how dehumanizing it is to call and sit on hold for an hour and deal with rude members of tele charges staff all to be told that in order to book a low vision seat you must be very wealthy. I guess they don't realize that most people with severe low vision needs deal with a higher cost of living and often struggle to make, and comparable income to others. Truly disgusting. So much for that affordability Jamie Lloyd loves to offer in London, I guess

This is *not* acceptable at all, and I am so sorry you had to try booking and ended up feeling this way. I took my parents who were differently abled to a few shows and every one had accessible seats at the base price - if not discounted - held back we were able to purchase. (Granted I did each transaction at the box office.)
DM'ing you this evening with some folks I'd suggest you reach out to if you're comfortable doing so. And I will stop by the Winter Garden this weekend when I'm in town to also ask.

That is incredibly kind of you, JT. Thank you.
Yeah, it's unfortunately quite common on Broadway that low-vision seats are held back, BUT at premium, top prices. It makes no sense to me why other disability needs receive a discount. And I find it incredibly insulting.
Meanwhile, off-broadway is very different, and the theatres all go out of their way to help me.

Also, just want to add - I shouldn't have said "discounted". To me, having a prime seat in the first few rows at the base (lowest) price is a discount. I don't expect more than that. But it's lovely when they do that (like Signature Theatre, where all tickets are $40 for someone in my shoes.)
