Krakowski: It would depend on when it ran. I would love to be able to try because it's such a great part. If I could do "30 Rock" in the day and dance my butt off in Damn Yankees at night, that would be really fun, if it happens. I would love to try if we are lucky enough for that to happen.
How could she find the energy to do a TV show and a Broadway show simultaneously!? If she could pull it off she'd get ALOT of respect.
You're reminding me of people you hear at the movies asking questions every ten seconds, "Who is that? Why is that guy walking down the street? Who's that lady coming up to him? Uh-oh, why did that car go by? Why is it so dark in this theater?" - FindingNamo on strummergirl
"If artists were machines, then I'm just a different kind of machine...I'd probably be a toaster. Actually, I'd be a toaster oven because they're more versatile. And I like making grilled cheese" -Regina Spektor
"That's, like, twelve shows! ...Or seven." -Crazy SA Fangirl
"They say that just being relaxed is the most important thing [in acting]. I take that to another level, I think kinda like yawning and...like being partially asleep onstage is also good, but whatever." - Sherie Rene Scott
I'm not sure this is even possible, I thought the reason she wasn't doing GUYS & DOLLS was because of her 30 ROCK schedule. Then again, lately she seems to be getting so little screen time that she might be able to do both. I would love for it to happen. Ljay, you're so right, she does come off as really sweet and humble. I particularly love the respect she seems to have for Gwen Verdon, Fosse, and the material itself. It's so funny how she goes "we're not trying to update it, making it darker, we're just doing the show." It's somewhat refreshing, especially for a show like DAMN YANKEES that really doesn't need to be tempered with. How neat would it be if the show actually transferred with her as Lola? That would be all kinds of awesome.

Nitwit - I'm sick of your posting HAWT, HAWT, HAWT on every thread. Do you care about anything else other than naked men & sex??? There ARE other websites for that you know! PS: Your name fits you perfectly!

Kathy Brier did HAIRSPRAY at night and filmed the soap DAYS OF OUR LIVES during the day, so it IS possible. Also, Kathy did the Wednesday matinees as well, so that was her day-off from her TV gig.
Jane Krakowski isn't heavily featured on 30 ROCK (the show revolves more around Alec Baldwin and Tina Fey), so its not impossible for her to do a Broadway show in the evenings. I'm sure she'd be able to fit in Wednesday matinees, too.
I adore Jane Krakowski! I do agree that do both 30 Rock and Damn Yankees might be a lot at once, but probably doable. I watch 30 Rock every week; and when it came back after the writers' strike, she was barely featured. She was even out of a couple of episodes. I think the only episode after the strike in which she had anything substantial was the season finale. It is too bad since she is one of my favorite characters on the show.
Yeah, she is barely featured in the show anymore. But I think apart from Alec Baldwin and Tina Fey, the rest of the characters all have their on/off periods. Someone on here once told me that the issue with Krakowski committing to a Broadway run while doing 30 ROCK is that the latter is a single-camera series which means they can spend hours upon hours shooting certain scenes, and the shooting schedule is rather irregular. I guess if Krakowski herself says it's possible then it must be. And for those worried about Cheyenne and XANADU, Encores! shows take a bit to transfer so no need to flip out.

Jane Krakowski is such a doll - so down to earth. I recently got my hands on the complete series of Ally McBeal, an only favorite of mine, and I've been watching it. I'd forgotten how great she was on that show. So talented.
If the show transfers to Broadway it'd probably be 6 months to a year before that would happen. Cheyenne's current contract with XANADU ends in mid January. And if they schedule the show for May or June then Jane would be on hiatus from 30 ROCK. The timing could be perfect.
ucjrdude902: LOL - nitwit would have been about 4 - 5 yrs old for the 1994 revival. They let children into the theater!!!

One of the first Broadway shows that I saw was "Starlight Express" in July of 1988. Jane Krokowski was in it, and she was absolutely stunning! She's so beautiful!
Would love it if this transfered. And doesn't Cheyenne's contract run out soon(August sometime??)?? They could have this open in March sometime.
A Chorus Line revival played its final Broadway performance on August 17, 2008. The tour played its final performance on August 21, 2011. The tour ended its US run in Kansas City and then toured throughout Japan August & September 2018.
