Posted: 5/4/13 at 12:15pmI find it funny that jayinchelsea said "expect revivals of WONDERLAND and THE CIVIL WAR next season" because I've seen a notice for auditions for a Civil War revival at the Lucille Lortel theatre off-broadway next season. I'm not sure f it's definitely happening but it was supposed to, apparently.

Posted: 5/4/13 at 1:42pmThe Civil War that is going into the Lortel this summer is unrelated to Wildhorn's production. It is a new show by Theatreworks that they are mounting as their annual free summer theatre.

Posted: 5/4/13 at 3:00pmI totally agree with your post. However, have you looked at the voting results so far for the Broadway World Awards for this website now? it seems that J&H is getting higher votes in practically every category it's nominated for. I think some people are VERY enthusiastic about J&H winning these awards. Does anyone know how the votes are cast or counted?

It's a poll that literally anyone can vote on. Repeatedly. The posted results means nothing because a small group can skew the results before they are audited at the conclusion of the poll.

Yes, a show that does not make a profit is a "flop". I guess I am just trying to point out there is a difference between a show hanging in there for almost 4 years and something closing in a month.
Yes, the difference is the smarter business decision to close the show early and not risk putting in more money to something that will not pay their investors back.
