Can anyone confirm yet? I was checking the choose your seat availability on Ticketmaster and it looked the same as Scandalous - no advance sales whatsoever.
Looking forward to seeing Deborah Cox.

If that is the real closing date, are we all even suprised in the slightest?

Looking at Ticketmaster yesterday, not in the slightest.
Will producers and investors finally learn now?????

Shocking.
Unbelievable, we never imagined this could happen.
Signed,
No one.
No, they will not learn, expect revivals of WONDERLAND and THE CIVIL WAR next season. What kind of deal with the devil does a hack like Wildhorn have? Stop defending him, people, there is no defense for bad writing. We already have endless Lloyd Webber, and with any luck, that insipid pipeline has dried up.
The tweet's been deleted. Hm!
We've said it a billion times. It's not Wildhorn. His songs are catchy. It's the horrible lyrics, horrible books, cheap productions, and unimaginative direction that bogs down the shows.
Blame Jeff Calhoun. How he keeps working is beyond me.
It's not closing May 12, but word is it will be closing sooner than the June 30 notice.
I think the thing I hated the most about this revival was what they did to "Bring on the Men." They finally get it right and put it back in the show (yes, I know it's in regional productions), but they slowed the tempo down to where it's almost as boring as "Good 'n' Evil."
Still, sad for the actors. I hope they all find something new soon.

My biggest issue with the production is still Constantine. If they had a real actor in that role, they might have made it all the way till June
If they had a "real" actor in that role, there would be no reason for it at all.

I bet they were waiting to see if the show being featured during Constantine's American Idol segment last night would boost sales before posting the closing notice.
He was also on ESPN yesterday promoting it. Missing the target audience much?

Well that wasn't surprising at all. Sad for the actors, but what can you do when your show sucks HARDCORE? No idea why Wildhorn is still trying, tbh.
I love J&H and saw the original three times, but after seeing clips of this production online even I wasn't interested in seeing it.
Disappointed to see this show close early on Broadway. The performances were well worth going to see.
Constantine has a spectacular tenor voice and he did a fantastic job in the role. Not easy to do with it being so close in time from the original production. I enjoyed the way they updated the format, the scenery, and the score. There are some flaws with the storyline; and it's not a lively, clap your hands type show.
Still sorry to see it end earlier than planned because audiences enjoyed it.

wasn't expecting it to close this Sunday, but they were talking about closing it by Memorial Day. Based on how poorly advance sales were, it was due. Looked at some dates on ticketmaster, and you could literally count the number of seats sold(sometimes just over 100).
I have a ticket for Memorial Day weekend. Do I get a refund? Sorry -- never had this happen before.

Of course you get a refund. Contact whoever sold you the ticket.
Well clearly audiences did not enjoy it and that is why it has to cut its limited run short. I rushed it on a Sunday matinee a couple weeks ago. The place roughly half full. Seats were 4th row dead center. I wish they were further back, preferably in the mezzanine. I would have rather been a distant observer of this dull, ludicrous affair than being an uncomfortably close part of it. Constantine's vocal pyrotecnics were campily fun sometimes, but he did the worst dialect work I have ever seen on a professional stage. Ever. How did the director let that pass this whole time its been a'goin? It was just so dull. And stupid. I really hope the creative team gets that this stuff is just not up to par. They have to know its not good.
"Constantine has a spectacular tenor voice..."
No, tenors don't scream like that. A new word is needed for this voice type.
