Does anybody have the info on what JLT is doing next?

She is such an amazing talent, her next role should vault her into orbit.

Thanks

For now I believe shes just taking time off to be a mother. I'm positive that she'll be back to the theater but who knows when.

Yeah, no one really knows. She is taking a break, but people that met her at the Stage Door at her last show in "Wicked" said she hinted that she already had a project lined up for the future...

I, for one, am on the boat of supporters who think she would make a great Christine in DRS.

Tonya Pinkins: Then we had a "Lot's Wife" last June that was my personal favorite. I'm still trying to get them to let me sing it at some performance where we get to sing an excerpt that's gone.
Tony Kushner: You can sing it at my funeral.

There were rumors she would be the new Christine...

Thanks for the info, I forgot she was a mother. What a great testimony to her character as a person. There is no role greater than that of being a good mother.

Take your time JLT, you will not regret the time spent with your children.

She's such a sweetheart, too! I can't wait for her to take on something new, so I have an excuse to go and see it! re: Jennifer Laura Thompson??

Yeah, I was there when her husband at the stage door, on her last day, said she's just going to be a mommy for a while. But wow, she would make an amazing Christine in DRS! That would be amazing!

She'd be amazing in DRS, We told her that and she said her and Sherie should alternate days.

Alejandra, mostly seen in the Norbert thread, originally suggested JLT as Christine. I thought it was brilliant casting on her part and I'm glad so many people agree with her!

I didn't get to see Jennifer live in Urinetown but I fell in love with her on the cast recording. She's absolutely precious!

Actually, Jennifer jokingly suggested being Christine in DRS in a conversation with my friend and me back when DRS was still in previews.
She's got it in her head! let just hope she takes the next step because that would rock. Updated On: 8/14/05 at 11:09 AM

JLT in DRS would cost me a lot of money. I would have to fly out to NYC and see it. So, for my pocketbook, I hope she stays away from it. Hahahaha

I'm with you Simple...

Actually, JLT in ANYTHING would cost me a lot of money, flying out to NYC.
She needs to come over here to the West Coast and do something. Like a one woman show...all about her!

"No", mused the man from PBS heedlessy. "Not so much. Our Stephen Sondheim Carnegie Hall concert. That's a big one." Speaking of Jenn, I just picked up Urinetown today, along with Bernadette's new cd. Listening to Bernadette right now, can't wait for Urinetown.

Oh my gosh, I would die if she took over for Sherie. That would be such perfect casting! And I adore Sherie, so I pretty much would be skeptical of anyone taking over for her.... but JLT would be so fab!!!!

I definitly agree with that West Coast show idea! *think LA!*

It would be such a sad thing if this poor college student had to poor all her savings into a trip to NYC for JLT. Sad, and bankrupting, but probably worth it. ;P

I don't want her to continue replacing roles.

JLT needs to CREATE more roles - she is WAY too talented to keep replacing others.

Could she really sing the "love songs" in DRS? I mean, I love her to death--but her voice is a little bit nasily which would kill the *romance* in the scenes.

^ Listen to her in URINETOWN (if you haven't already)

She is brilliant on "Follow Your Heart." The shows love song.

Anyway, I really don't want her to replace Sherie or anyone else.

Parks...FOR SHAME!!!!!!!!!!

Saw her in Wicked twice, and instantly fell in love. Bought the Urinetown soundtrack, (Which I hate) but JLT is frikkin' hysterical on it.

I say ONE WOMAN SHOW...

She needs to be on that stage for every second so we can glorify in her amazing talent.

I'm just asking--I haven't heard Urinetown. She could definitely take the part and make it her own. I'd love to see what she would do with it.
