I know she was recently mentioned a few times in another thread, but I just wanted to highly recommend her new album, ALWAYS LIKE NEW.

She performs a lot of Broadway material with a slight country edge to it…not over the top, but really unique and listenable.

Loving what she does with "Oh, What A Beautiful Mornin' " She took it to church with that gospel arrangement and choir.

I'm not a big Hamilton fan but also like what she did with "Wait For It".

Love this album! She's a powerhouse. And I loved her in Chicago AND Mamma Mia.

I think the crown jewel of this album is the duet with Brandi Carlile on “It All Fades Away.” A beautiful arrangement that turns an already deeply felt ballad into a yearning queer love song.

The woman is wildly talented but I think think the album is thematically all over the place. I understand what she’s going for, but I prefer an album that you can put on and it’s a mood. The cover denotes that. I like a covers album that I can throw on and it’s going to keep me in a zone. Those are my favorites. Here I feel like she’s trying to show me everything she can do, which is impressive but jarring.

The duet with Brandi is exquisite. I hope Ms Nettles does more live theatre. She is sublime.
